Orhan Şaik Gökyay`ın edebiyatımızdaki yeri ve önemi

Abstract

ÖZETT Bu tezde yaptığım çalışma mümtaz bir şahsiyetin, Orhan Saik Gökyay'ın Türk Edebiyatına kazandırdıklarını ve edebiyatımız içerisinde nasıl bir yere sahip olduğunu içermektedir. Tezin giriş bölümünde Orhan Saik Gökyay'ın eşi ile bir röportaj yapılmıştır. Hayatı bölümünde çocukluğu, eğitimi, çalıştığı yerler, kişiliği ve hocalığı tek tek ele alınmıştır. Orhan Saik Gökyay'la ilgili yapılan ilk ciddi çalışmayı Prof. Dr. Günay Kut yapmıştır. Hocanın sağlığındayken hazırlanan ve Türk Büyükleri Dizisinde ilk defa yaşayan bir edebiyatçıyı konu alan kitapta, 1989 yılma kadar hoca ile ilgili olan detaylı ve önemli bilgileri bulabiliyoruz. Ancak bu kitapta-hoca istemediği için- tutuklanması, yargılanması ve savunmasına dair en ufak bir bilgi verilmemiştir. Bu tez `tarihi ve edebi` değer taşıyan bu savunmayı da içermektedir. Yine Günay Hocanın kitabı henüz hoca yaşarken yazıldığı için, kitapta ölümü üzerine yazılanlar bulunmamaktadır. Tezimde bu bilgilere de yer verilmiştir. Bu çalışma, Orhan Saik Gökyay'ı tanıtmak, tarihle bugün arasında köprü vazifesi gören kaynak eserleri günümüz okuyucusuna ulaştırma konusunda titiz bir çalışma yapan bir edebiyat tarihçisini kendi istediğine uygun olarak unutmamak amaçlarıyla yapılmıştır. Bu araştırma, Orhan Saik Gökyay'la ilgili yapılan çalışmaların devamı mahiyetindedir. III

SUMMARY My study includes that a privileged person who get some works to Turkish Literature and his name is Orhan Saik Gökyay. Also this study includes his place in our literature too. In introduction of thesis a feature had been made with wife of Orhan Saik Gökyay. In part of his life, his childhood and education and place of his work and his personality and his teaching had been taken up one by one. The first serious study of about Orhan Saik Gökyay had been made by Prof. Dr. Günay Kut. We can find important knowledge about Teacher's life until 1989 years in this book which had been prepared when he was living and take up an alive man of letters in Turkish Chief Series. But this book does not include some knowledge which are arrested of his, and judgement of his, and defence of his because of he did not want to give any information about these subjects. This thesis includes this defence which has got a value `historical and literary`. Although teacher Günay prepared that book when he (O. Ş. Gökyay) was living, so this book do not includes some writings about his death. I allocated this writings too in my thesis. Aim of this study are these: To introduce Orhan Saik Gökyay, and do not forget a historian of literature who made an investigation with fastidiously and tried to transmit source works to his reader. Second case is convenient according to his desire. This research is a continuation of works about Orhan Saik Gökyay. IV
