Yabancı dil olarak Fransızcanın öğretiminde kısa öykülerin kullanılması

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, kısa öykü türünün Fransızca öğretimi üzerindeki olumlu etkilerini göstermektir. Yabancı dil öğretiminde kalıcılığı sağlamak gerekmekte, aksi takdirde kısa süreli bir öğrenme gerçekleşir. İşte bu noktada edebi bir metin türü olan kısa öykülerde işlenen temaların insana özgü ve güncel olması akılda daha çok kalmasını sağlarken, kullandığı yoğun, şiirsel ve sade anlatımı ise zihinleri harekete geçirmektedir. Romana göre kısa oluşu sıkıcılığı ortadan kaldırırken, şiire göre sade oluşu anlamayı kolaylaştırmaktadır. Sonuç olarak kısa öykünün Fransızca öğretiminde de olumlu neticeler verebileceği düşünülmüş ve araştırmaya değer görülmüştür. Bu çalışma nitel veri toplama yönteminin kullanıldığı uygulamalı eylem araştırması modelinde betimsel bir çalışmadır. Çalışmanın evrenini Fransızca öğretmenliğinde okuyan tüm öğrenciler oluştururken, örneklemini Atatürk Üniversitesi Kazım Karabekir Eğitim Fakültesi Fransızca Öğretmenliği ikinci, üçüncü ve dördüncü sınıflar oluşturmaktadır. Oluşturulan bu örneklem grubuyla işlenen dersler çalışmanın temelini oluşturmaktadır. Derste ünlü Fransız öykücü Maupassant'ın bir kısa öyküsü işlenmiş ve buna göre öğrencilerin sınıftaki tutumları gözlenmiştir. Dağıtılan ödev formlarıyla da öğrencilerin okuduklarını ne ölçüde anlayabildikleri ve anladıklarını ne ölçüde yazılı olarak anlatabildikleri gözlenmiştir. Ayrıca kelime ve dilbilgisini işlenen öyküyle ne ölçüde anlayabildikleri analiz yoluyla gözlenmiştir.Çalışmanın sonunda kısa öykü türünün hedef dilde yazılı anlama ve yazılı anlatma üzerinde faydalı olabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.Anahtar Sözcükler: Kısa öykü türü, yabancı dil öğretimi, yazılı anlatma, yazılı anlama

The aim of this research is to show the positive effects of short stories on teaching French as a foreign language. It is necessary to supply permanence in teaching a foreign language otherwise there would be a learning of short duration. At this point as the short stories provide the learner to remember more with the actual and human themes, they also motivate the learner's mind via the intensive, poetic and simple explanation. While being shorter than the novel, it prevents the boredom, being simpler than the poem; it makes it easier to understand. Consequently, it is thought that the short stories could be useful in teaching French and it is found valid to be researched. This is a descriptive research in the standard of applied action in which qualitative data collection is used. The population of this study contains all the students in the department of French profession of teaching. The sample of this study involves the second, the third and the fourth degree in Atatürk University in Kazım Karabekir Faculty of Education. Our sample and the courses given to this sample group are the basis of this study. We tried to analysis by the observation the attitude of the students in class according to a short story of famous French short story-teller Maupassant. We observed how could the students understood and expressed what they read via the homework sheets. Additionally we also observed how could they understood the grammar and vocabulary by the given short story.As a result of the study, we came to a conclusion that the short stories can be useful in reading and writing in the target language.
