dc.description.abstractSUMMARY Custom Union which has a place in Turkey's actual vision, means `deleting custom taxes and effective economical precautions between union countries and applying the same taxes and traditional concept to countries which are out of this union`. By this time, turkey will have to make warravty to EU countries for deleting economical precautions, tax, found and obfalning free circulation of products which belong to EU countries. This case causes a great competition for Turkish companies. Main sources of competition politicy at EU are, cartel prohibition plaled at 85 th paragraph of European Economical Assembly Agreemen (EEAA), forbidding of usage of market potantial negatively placed at 86 th paragrahp of EEAA, position af the state enterprieses placed at 90 th paragraph of EEAA, traditional monopols placed at 37 th paragraph of EEAA and arranging of state subvantions placed at 92 nd and 94 th paragraphs of EEAA. In Turkey is no law abouth arrangement of competition at 1993. Especialy, by the aim of preventing of this perficiency, Industrial and Traditional Ministry has prepared a law suggestion and it has been given to Turkish Great National Assembly after returning at March of 1993. The target of this suggestion, is to terminate of angaging problems, to obtain the competition both Turkey and abroad for Turkish firms. Today, globalization operations by Europe, which has began by Ankara Agreement at 12 September 1963. Has a new dimension by signing of Custom Union Agreement after prepairing and crossing terms. In this study, economical integration how to effect our automotive industry and competition potential of our firms are reserched. Our automotive industry, altough great at last years seems that it has no enough power for directly competition by the other European automotive firms.Most of companies which concept in automotive industry, haven't reached at economic scales yet and most of products which belongs to these firms have no quality that requires world quality standards. This case effects competition performance of our firms negatively. But our automotive industry which gives economical possibility to 500.000 people (directly or indirectly) exlept food and textile industries, must not be eliminated by the time of angaging to Custom Union. Because of this, for going on productivity of this sector, precautions required must be taken and applied as soon as posible XI
