İlköğretim öğrencilerinde bilimsel ve sosyal tutum (Adapazarı örneği)

Abstract

ÖZET Bu araştırmada, ilköğretim okulu II. kademe öğrencileri bilimsel ve sosyal tutum geliştirme açısından değerlendirilmiştir, öğrencilerin bilimsel ve sosyal tutum geliştirmelerini değerlendirirken öğrenci ve öğretmenlere iki ayrı anket uygulanmıştır. Öğrenci ve öğretmenlerin tutum geliştirmeye ilişkin farklı değerlendirmeleri incelenmiştir. Aynca kız ve erkek öğrenciler arasında tutum geliştirme farkı olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Araştırma Sakarya lli'nde sosyo-ekonomik düzeyleri düşük, orta ve yüksek olmak üzere üç ilköğretim okulunda yapılmıştır. Bu okullardan son sınıflarda okuyan, tesadüfen seçilmiş 60 kız ve 60 erkek öğrenciye anket uygulanmıştır. Aynca bu okullarda görevli 30 öğretmenin öğrencilere ilişkin değerlendirmesi de bir anketle tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada bilgi toplama aracı olarak öğrenci ve öğretmenlere uygulanan içeriği aynı, fakat sorulan farklı iki anket kullanılmıştır. Ankette sosyal ve bilimsel tutumlara ait 27 soru bulunmaktadır. Araştırmanın amacı, ilköğretim okulu öğrencilerinin bilimsel ve sosyal tutumları ne ölçüde geliştirdiklerini, öğrenci ve öğretmen açısından tespit etmektir. Bu tespit sayesinde, bu tutumlann geliştirilmesine yönelik yeni program geliştirme çalışmalarına gidilebilir; öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerinde değişiklikler yapılabilir ve öğretmenlerin rol ve tutumlan değerlendirilebilir. Araştırmanın bulgulanna göre, öğrencilerin tutum gelişimi açısından kendi değerlendirmelerinde genel olarak orta ve yüksek düzeyler çıkmıştır. Öğretmenlerin değerlendirmelerinde öğrencilerin bilimsel ve sosyal tutumlan genel olarak orta ve yetersiz düzeyde geliştirdikleri tespit edilmiştir, öğrencilerin ve öğretmenlerin tutum gelişimi değerlendirmeleri genelde farklıdır. Kız ve erkek öğrencilerin tutum geliştirme düzeylerinde ise genelde anlamlı farklar yoktur. X

SUMMARY în this study, the students in the second course of primary School were evoluated with the respect of scientific and social attitudes to be developed In this evaluation, two questionnaires were applied. The different evaluations regarding the development of attitiddes, by both teachers and students were investigated and also an investigation had been made whether there is a difference between the girls and the boys in respect of development of attitudes. The investigation had been made at three primary School of which socia and economic levels were, low, average and high. There were 60 boys and 60 girls selected at randam from the last course of these schools, who filled the questionnaires of which contents were the same and guestions were differend. The questionnaires were made both by the students and teachers in order to collect information. There were 27 questions related to social and scientific attitudes. The aim of this investigation is to detect to what level the students from primary School have been able to develop their social and scientific attitudes in the respect of the teachers and students. With these data, it is possible to study new programme development n order to get better attitudes. Some changes can be made teaching tecniques and methods, and roles and attitudes of teachers can be reviwed. According to the discoveries of investgation, the social and scientific attitudes developments of students are generally both in high or medium level. To teachers, there attitudes are in medium or low level. There is generally a difference between the students and teachers n the respect of evaluation. Generally there isn't meaningful different levels of attitudes development made by both the girls and the boys. XI
