Kız kaçırma geleneğinin sosyo-kültürel temelleri

Abstract

ÖZET Evlenme, toplum yapısının temeli olduğu için evrenseldir. Her toplum içerisinde bulunduğu şartlara göre evlenme biçimleri geliştirir. Toplum yapısına uygun olmayan evlenme şekilleri, toplumun mahşeri vicdanı tarafından dışlanır ve sosyal hayattan çıkarılır. Kız kaçırma geleneği 'karşıt cinslerin tabi çekiciliğine' dayanan ve sosyal normlar ile kişisel özel durumların çakışması sonucu gerçekleşen bir evlenme biçimidir. Bu çalışma olaylara sebep olan gerekçelerin tespit edilerek; daha medeni ve kültürel bakımdan daha zengin evlenme usulüne ön-ayak olma gayretiyle yapılmıştır. Araştırma, bu köylerdeki kız kaçırma olaylarını, sosyo-kültürel açıdan incelemeyi, hedeflemektedir. Araştırma, Kocaeli ili Kandıra ilçesi yedi mahalleden oluşan Kırkarmut ve beş mahalleden oluşan Özbey köyleriyle sınırlıdır. Anket uygulaması, sadece bu köylerdeki 18 Nisan 1999 seçimlerinde oy kullanan seçmenlerden seçilen, örneklem gruba uygulanmıştır. Görüşme tekniği de yoğun olarak, bu köylerin yetişkinleriyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Kandıra yöresinde de, normal nişanlı düğünlü evliliklerin peşinden, ikinci yaygın evlenme şekli ve birinciye alternatif olarak canlılığını korumakta olan, kız kaçırma/kaçışma usulü evliliklerdir. Bu evlenme şeklinin, devam etmesinin tabii sebebi; yörenin sosyal hayatında uygulamaya ihtiyaç duyulmasındandır. Yani, kaçışmaların -olayın oluşu itibari ile pek hoş karşılanmasa da- önemli fonksiyonları olduğu bir gerçektir. X

SUMMARY Socıo-Cultural the Foundations of the Tradition of Kidnopping a Girl Marriage is universal as it is the foundation of social structure. Every society develops it's own marriage ways according to some certain conditions. The marriage ways that are not suitable for the structure of society are excluded by the society's conscience and are extracted from the social life. The tradition of kidnapping a girl is a way of marriage that depends on the natural attractiveness of the contrary sex and occurs as a result of the conflict of social norms and personal private situations. The research's lmted wiht Kirkarmut that's formed by seven neighborhoods in Kandıra in Kocaeli and Özbey villages formed by five neighorhoods. The research's aim is also to fix the reasons of these events to realize the kind of marriages that are more modern and more richer in culture. The research aims to examine the events of kidnopping girls in these villages from the point of socio-cultural and antropology. Also in Kandıra region, after the normal marriage, the second way of marriage that's know as kiddnopping girls occurs. The natural reason of the continuation of this marriage ways is that these people need this application for their social lifes. Although these events aren't liked, it's a fact that they have important functions. XIV
