Uzman sistemlerin işletme yönetiminde kullanılması ve uygulama alanları

Abstract

ÖZET Bu çalışmanın amacı, uzman sistemler hakkında bilgi vermek ve uzman sistemlerin işletme yönetiminde kullanılmasından sağlanan faydaları açıklamaktır. Uzman sistemler, özel bir alanla ilgili büyük bir bilgi kitlesini içermektedir. Bu bilgi, aynı alanda bir veya daha fazla sayıda olan beşeri uzmanlar tarafından sağlanmıştır. Bilgi tabanlı olan uzman sistemler bu sebeple, problem çözerken insan benzeri özellikler göstermektedirler. Bu anlamda, uzman sistemler, beşeri uzmanlar gibi bilgiyi veriye dönüştürerek soruna uygulayan bilgisayar destekli sistemlerdir diyebiliriz. Uzman sistemler yaygın olarak altı bileşenden meydana gelmektedir. Bunlar; bilgi toplama, bilgi tabanı, çalışma belleği, çıkarsama mekanizması, açıklama düzeni ve kullanıcı arabirimi olarak sayılmaktadır. Uzman sistemlerin başarılı olarak işlemesinde, uzman sistemlerin temel yapısını oluşturan bu bileşenlerin önemli payı vardır. Uzman sistemler işletme içinde kurulmadan önce, planlama ve yönetim aşaması olan başlangıç proje modelinin kurulması ve test edilmesi gerekir. Bu aşamada, uzman sistemlerle ilgili ihtiyaçlar tespit edilir, geliştirme ile test ve değerlendirme grubu oluşturulur. Bu aşamada kurulan uzman sistem prototip modelinin çalışma performansına göre uzman sistemlerin kurulma çalışmalarına devam edilir. Uzman sistemlerin planlama ve yönetim aşamasından olumlu sonuç alınmasıyla birlikte, sistemin geliştirilmesine dair çalışmalara başlanır. Geliştirme çalışmaları çerçevesinde, alan tanımlaması, problem seçimi, tasarımcıların, uzmanların, donanım ve yazılım paketlerinin seçilmesi ve tasarım faaliyetleri gerçekleştirilir. Geliştirilen uzman sistemlerin işletme yönetimi alanında karar verme, bilgi kullanımı, mühendislik, yönetim ve pazarlama konularında yöneticiye yardımcı olacak etkileri vardır. Uzman sistemlerin işletmelerde, yönetim ve idare, bilim ve mühendislik, endüstriyel,finansal ve yasal, karar destek sistemleri, çok ölçülü tesis yerleşimi alanlarında uygulamaları mevcuttur. Uygulanan bu alanlarda, maliyet etkinliği, operasyonel verimlilik gibi faydalar elde edilmiştir. SUMMARY USE OF EXPERT SYSTEMS IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT AND ITS APPLICATIONS KEYWORDS : Expert Systems, Knowledge Base, Inference Engine, User Interface, Explanation Subsystem, Human Expert, Making Decision. The purpose of this paper is giving some information about the expert systems and explaining the benefits coming from the use of them in business management. Expert systems includes a large amount of information related with a special area. This information is provided by a one or more human relations experts on the same area. For this reason, knowledge based expert systems show similar features to human while solving problems. Thus, we can say that the knowledge based expert systems are the computer aided systems that use the knowledge by converting it in to data. Generally expert systems consist of six components. These are, knowledge induction, konwledge base, working memory, inference engine, explanation subsystem and user interface. Components which compose the base of the expert systems have an important role for a successfully working expert system.. Before building an expert system in a business, a pre- project model, a planning and management stage, should established and tested. At this stage, needs related to expert systems are pinpointed and a test and evaluation teams are composed. According to the working performance of the established prototype model, attempts are carried for building an expert system. After having a positive result from the planning and management stages of expert systems, attempts to improve the systems will start. In the frame of improvement works, area recognation, selection of the problem, designers, experts, hardware and software packages and design activities are performed. Improved expert systems has some useful effects to help the managers on the areas of decision making, using knowledge, engineering, management and marketing. Expert systems are used in management and administration, science and engineeering, industrial, financial and legislative areas, decision making support and multi-dimensional plant location. In this areas, uses like effective costs and operational efficiency has been obtained. Using expert systems in business with advanced technologies will contribute to growth and the development of business. vui
