İlköğretim okulu öğrencilerinin başarısında aile faktörü

Abstract

ÖZET Örgün eğitim kurumları olan okullarda planlı, programlı çalışılmasına rağmen öğrencilerin yetiştirilmesinde istenilen amaçlara istenilen düzeyde ulaşılamamaktadır. Öğrencilerin akademik ilerlemelerinde, okula ve topluma uyumlarında problemler yaşanmaktadır. Eğitimde görülen problemlerin ortadan kaldırılması için eğitim öğretim çalışmalarında okullarla birlikte çevrenin ve ailenin de katkıda bulunması zorunlu olmaktadır. Araştırmamızda öğrencilerin başarı durumları ile aile faktörü arasındaki arasındaki ilişkiler incelenmektedir. Örneklem Sakarya ilindeki Sabihanım ilköğretim okulu, Çatalköprü ilköğretim okulu ve Çökekler ilköğretim okulu 8. Sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşturulmuştur. Aile ve başarı ile ilgili kaynak taraması yapılmış ve konu ile ilgili bir anket hazırlanıp uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada başarılı öğrencilerin ailelerinin çocuklarının devam ettiği okullara gitmekte ve öğretmenlerle görüşmektedirler. Bu ailelerin çocuklarının eğitim durumlarıyla ilgilendikleri ve çocuklarının eğitimi için gereken ortamı hazırladıkları görülmüştür. Orta başarı düzeyindeki öğrencilerin ailelerinin okula ve çocuğa olan ilgileri azalmakla birlikte devam etmektedir. Başarısız öğrencilerin aileleri ise çocuklarının eğitimi ile yeterince ilgilenememektedir. Bu ailelerin, evde çocuklarına başarıyı sağlayacak desteği ve ortamı hazırlayamadıkları görülmüştür. Ailelerin çocuklarının eğitimiyle olan ilgileri, veli toplantılarına katılımları, toplantı haricinde okula gelmeleri ve çocuğun öğretmenleriyle görüşerek gelişimini takip etmelerinden anlaşılabilir. Bu araştırma, farklı başarı düzeyindeki öğrencilerin ailelerinin, sosyo - ekonomik durumlarını, eğitim imkanlarını, çocuklarının eğitimiyle ilgilerini ve evde çocukla olan sosyal ilişkilerini tespit etmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. SUMMARY Intended degree in educating could not be achieved in spite of working with a plan and a program at schools- that are formal education institutions at students. There are problems on the subject of students' academic progress and the adaptation to school and society. It is certainly necessary that the family and the society contribution on solving the problem of considerated education problem. The relation between the student achivement and the family effect on the student have been surveyed in our research. The examplary has been consisted of the students of 8U grade of Sabihamm Primary School, Çatalköprü Primary School and Çökekler Primary School in Sakarya province. Made a resource scan, about the family and the success, and prepared and applied a questionary which contains the subject. As in the research, the families of successful students visit the schools that the children attend and they converse with their teachers. It has been seen that these children's families interested in the school and their children, they have been prepared the fitting milieu for the education of their children. The interest of the middle succeed students' families are going on with a decrease. And the families of the unsuccessful students, cannot interest in the education of their children enough. The interests of the families in education of their children can be understood by searching their joints to protector meetings, visiting the school without meetings and following their children's progress by conversing with their teachers. This research is made with the aim of establishing about the socio-economic positions, education opportunities, the interests in education of their children and the social relations with their children of families of students at home on several success degrees.
