Yerel medyada iş tatmini (Sakarya ve Kocaeli örneği)

Abstract

ÖZET Kamuoyunun önemli derecede nabzını tutan, güncel haberler konusunda vatandaşları bilgilendiren yerel medyada çalışanların eğitim durumları, çalışma imkanları, içinde bulundukları genel durum incelenmiştir. Bu çalışmada Sakarya ve Kocaeli illerindeki yerel medyada çalışan personelin iş tatmini ele alınmıştır. Ulusal basının gölgesinde kalan ve gelişimini bir türlü tamamlayamayan yerel basının çalışma şartlarının ve içinde bulunduğu durumun ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Elde edilen neticeye göre; yerel medyada çalışanların büyük. bir kısmının genç, erkek ve bekar olduğu saptanmıştır. Maaşlarının ise adil olmadığını belirtenlerin oranı ise yüksek çıkmıştır. Gençlerin büyük bir kısmının mesleği popülaritesinden dolayı seçtikleri ve gelecekleri konusunda yerel medyadan umutsuz olduklarını belirlenmiştir. Yapılan çalışmada, yerel medyada hizmet içi eğitimin yeterli derecede verilmediği, çalışanların önemli bir kısmının da ücret yönünden tatmin olmadıkları ortaya çıkmıştır. SUMMARY This study examines demographic characterizes and working conditions who are responsible for informing people about the daily news, and have a strong influence in the formative public opinion. In this study job satisfaction of local media personal works. In the provinces of Sakarya and Kocaeli. The aim was to examine the working conditions and existing position of local media which were shadowed by the National Press and unable to complete its development. Findings indicated that the majority of local media workers were male, young and single. Also, a significant portion of the respondents believed that they were not salaried fairly. A significant portion of young workers indicated that they have chosen this occupation due to its popularity, but they were not optimistic about the future of the local media. Findings indicated that media workers were not satisfied with their salaries and did not find the training program sufficient.
