Tarsus`un 338 numaralı Şer`iyye Sicili (H.25 şa`bât 1311-6 şevvâl 1312/ M. 6 eylül 1893- 1 Şubat 1895)

Abstract

ÖZET Anahtar Kelime: Tarsus, Şeri'yye, Sicil, Salname, Osmanlı. Tarsus'un 338 Numaralı Şer'iyye Sicili konulu yüksek lisans çalışmamın amacı, Şer'iyye sicilindeki belgelerin yeni Türk Alfabesine çevirisini yaparak ilim dünyasının istifadesine sunmak ve XDC. yüzyıl sonlarında Tarsus'un genel durumunu ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmaya konu olan Şer'iyye Sicil Defteri, Hicri 1311-1312, Miladi 1893-1895 yıllarına ait olup 44 sayfadan oluşmaktadır. Defterde, Hüccet ve İ'lam türünde çeşitli belgeler bulunmaktadır. Ait olduğu dönemlerin ve bölgelerin dini, askeri, iktisadi ve idari özelliklerini yansıtan Şer'iyye Sicilleri her zaman tarih için birinci el kaynak olmuştur. Bu bakımdan 338 Numaralı Sicil Defteri, Tarsus'un XDC. yüzyıl sonlarındaki nüfus yapısı, kültürel dokusu, halkın geçim kaynağı, ekonomik gelir durumu, sosyal yaşamı hakkında bilgi vermektedir. Ayrıca meslek gruplarını, bölgede görev yapan devlet memurlarını ve vergi türlerini de sicil kayıtlarından öğrenebiliriz. Çalışmamızı beş ana bölümde hazırladık. Birinci bölümde, Tarsus'un coğrafi konumu ve tarihi hakkında bilgi verdik. İkinci bölümde Tarsus'un XDC. yüzyıl sonlarındaki genel durumunu inceledik. Üçüncü bölümde ilmi araştırmalar açısından şer'iyye sicillerinin önemini belirttik. Dördüncü bölümde Tarsus'un 338 Numaralı Şer'iyye Sicil Defteri'nin tasnifini yaptık ve bazı istatistik bilgiler verdik. Beşinci bölümde ise, 338 Numaralı Şer'iyye Sicilinin yeni Türk Alfabesine çevirisini yaptık. Çalışmamızı ortaya koyarken çeşitli sözlüklerden ve kaynaklardan yararlandık. vı

The aim of my Master of Arts study is to give in formation about the 338 Şer'iyye Register Notebook of Tarsus by retranslating the documents into the New Turkish Alphabet, to put forward the general situation of Tarsus at the end of the XIX. century and also to present this study the usage of the academics and the science world. The Şer'iyye Register Notebook, the subject of my study, belongs to the years between 1311-1312 according to the Heriga calender,1893-1895 according to the Gregorian calender and is compased of 44 pages. In this Şer'iyye Register Notebook, there are various kinds of documents such as Hüccet, İ'lam. The Şer'iyye Register Notebooks, which reflect the religious, military, economic and administrative features of the periods they belong to, have always been the first hand source to enlighten us. In this respect, 338 Register Notebook gives information about Tarsus population, culture, people's living style, their economic income and their social and economic lives at the end of the XTX. century. In addition to these, we can learn profession groups, officals worked in this area and also tax types thanks to the registers. This study is composed of five main parts. In the first part, the information about historical and geographical features of Tarsus is given. In the second part, the general situation of Tarsus at the end of 19th century is examined. In the third part, the importance of the Şer'iyye Register is explained by using scientific researches. In the fourth part, the 338 numbered Şer'iyye Register Notebook is classified and some statistics are given. Lastly, in the fifth part, the 338 numbered Şer'iyye Register Notebook is translated into the New Turkish Alphabet. During this study, all necessary information is taken from various dictionaries and written documents. Vll
