Iı. meşrutiyet dönemi Osmanlı modernleşmesinin kadınla ilgili ayetlerin yorumlarına yansıması

Abstract

`İslam'da kadın ve statüsü' konusu İslam Dünyasının en önemli sorunlarından biridir. `Kadın' konusu ne yeni ortaya çıkmış bir meseledir, ne de asırlardır çözüme kavuşturulabilmiştir. Kadının giyim-kuşamı, eğitimi ve öğretimi, toplum içindeki kadın-erkek ilişkileri hakkındaki ayetler üzerinde sıkça tartışılmış çeşitli yorumlarda bulunulmuştur.19. ve 20.yüzyıla kadar belli bir çizgiden kopmayan tefsir çalışmaları, modernizmin de etkisiyle bazı değişimler geçirmiştir. Bu değişimden en çok etkilenenlerin başında da kadının konumuyla ilgili yorumlar gelmiştir. Kadın hakkındaki ayetlerin yorumlarındaki değişimi görmek ve Osmanlının son döneminin sosyo-kültürel bir tahlilini yapmak açısından dönemin tarihi vesikaları sayılan Sırat-ı Müstakim/Sebilürreşad dergilerinin farklı bir yeri vardır. Bu yüzden çalışmamızda üzerinde daha önce müstakil olarak çalışılmamış olan Sırat-ı Müstakim/Sebilürreşad dergilerindeki kadın tartışmalarını inceledik. Adından da anlaşılacağı üzere kadının statüsü ile ilgili ayetleri temel aldığımız bu çalışmada, modern yorumlardaki değişimi fark etmek için, klasik tefsir kaynaklarından, ayrıca asr-ı saadet dönemindeki uygulamaları da incelenen dönem açısından değerlendirmek amacıyla sahih hadis kitaplarından faydalandık.Çalışmamız giriş, beş bölüm ve sonuçtan oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde modernleşmenin İslam dünyasına olan etkileri ve özellikle tefsir faaliyetleri açısından meydana gelen değişiklikler üzerinde durulmuştur.İkinci bölümde Tanzimat sonrası dergiler ve bunların içinde Sırat-ı Müstakim/Sebilürreşad dergisinin konumu ve tefsir faaliyetlerindeki yeri incelenmiştir.Üçüncü bölümde, genel olarak modernleşmenin kadınla ilgili klasik yorumlara olan etkileri üzerinde durulmuş, bu hususta kadın dergilerinden de istifade edilmiştir.Son iki bölümde de, Sırat-ı Müstakim/Sebilürreşad dergilerinde yer alan kadın konulu makaleler ele alınmış ve ulemanın yorumları hakkında değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır.Sonuç bölümünde ise, yapılan çalışmadan elde edilen bulguların ve edinilen fikirlerin genel bir değerlendirmesi yapılmış, toplumsal açıdan bu ve benzeri araştırmalara olan ihtiyacın önemi üzerinde durulmuştur.

The subject of `the status of woman in Islam? is one of the most important issues discussed in the Islamic World. This subject is neither a new issue nor solved for ages. The verses about the dressing, education and teaching of woman and the relations between men and women in a society have been discussed a lot and variety of comments has been made.Tafsir studies, which followed a similar pattern until 19. and 20.centuries, have had some variations due to the influence of modernism. The most prominent subjects, influenced by modernism have been the comments on the status of the woman. The periodicals of Sırat-ı Müstakim/Sebilürreşad which are known as historical documents of the last period of Ottoman have an important role to make a social-cultural analysis of this period of time and in observing the variations of comments on the verses about woman. Thus, we investigated the discussions about woman in these periodicals which has not been studied previously as an individual subject. In this study which the verses about the status of the woman is the main subject as the title implies, we made use of classical tafsir sources as well as authentic hadeeth books to notice of the changes in modern comments, and to compare them with applications during the time of Prophet Muhammed (s.a.s).Our thesis consists of introduction, five main chapters and conclusion. In Chapter 1, the influence of modernism on the Islamic World and the changes occurred especially in terms of tafsir activities have been stressed.In Chapter 2, the periodicals after Tanzimat (the political reforms of Abdülmecid in 1839) and the position of Sırat-ı Müstakim/Sebilürreşad among all of the periodicals and tafsir activities have been studied.In Chapter 3, the effects of modernism on the classical comments about woman have generally been discussed and other woman magazines have been used for this purpose.In the following chapters, the articles about woman on the periodicals of Sırat-ı Müstakim/Sebilürreşad have deeply been investigated and some evaluations have been made about critics by the ulema.In the conclusion, the results of this study have generally been evaluated, and importance of the need for such studies has been emphasized from a social perspective.
