Sırât-ı Müstakîm Mecmuası`ndaki (1908-1912) siyer bilgilerinin tespiti

Abstract

Osmanlı'da II. Meşrutiyet'in kısa süren geniş özgürlük ortamında Tanzimat sonrası fikir ve birikimler ifade imkânı bulmuş, Cumhuriyet dönemini de etkileyen fikrî, siyasî ve kurumsal değişikliklerin temelleri atılmıştır. Yenileşme konusundaki fikirlerin özellikle dergiler kanalıyla dile getirildiği bu dönemde her alanda olduğu gibi İslam Tarihi algısında da değişimler görülmüştür. Bu alanda, dönemin en etkili akımını oluşturan İslamcıların çıkardığı Sırât-ı Müstakîm Mecmuası da önemli bir yer teşkil etmiştir. Bu çalışma, dergide kullanılan Hz. Peygamber dönemine ait bilgilerin tespitini konu edinmiş ve dönemin önde gelen yazarlarının siyer bilgilerini hangi bağlamlarda kullandıklarını ortaya koymayı amaçlamıştır.Araştırmada kaynak olarak II. Meşrutiyet'in ilanının ardından yayına başlayan mecmuanın 1912 yılına kadar mezkûr adla yayınlanan yüz seksen iki sayısının yer aldığı ilk yedi cildi esas alınmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, incelenen dergi sayılarında yer alan iki yüz dört makalede siyer malzemesinin kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. İmzasız yazılar ve iktibasların yanında otuz sekiz ayrı yazara ait olan bu makalelerden sadece dördü müstakil siyer makalesi olup diğerleri güncel siyasî olaylar başta olmak üzere çeşitli konuları ele alan yazılardır. Bu makalelerde siyer malzemesinin daha çok o günlerde savunulan düşünceleri destekler nitelikte yorumlanarak kullanıldığı görülmüştür.Kullanıldıkları bağlamlar göz önüne alındığında siyer bilgilerinin genel olarak yaşanan güncel olaylar sebebiyle tarihi hatırlatma, dönemin siyasî tartışmalarına ve yeni kurumlarına dinî meşruiyet sağlama gibi amaçlarla zikredilmiş olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Yazarların inanç, ibadet, eğitim ve ahlâk konularındaki yenilikçi yorumlarında Hz. Peygamber dönemine yaptıkları atıfların, Hz. Peygamber ve İslam dini hakkında batılı yazarların iddialarına karşı yazdıkları reddiyelerin de önemli bir yer teşkil ettiği tespit edilmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: II. In the short-term freedom environment of the Second Constitutional Era of the Ottoman Empire, the ideas and experiences of pro-Tanzimat Era found a possibility of expression, and the bases of intellectual, political, and structural changes affecting the Republican Era was founded. In this period in which the ideas about modernism and Westernization were delivered via periodicals, the history of Islam as a study area experienced changes as well as other areas did. In this area, Sırât-ı Müstakîm Mecmuası (the Journal of Straight Path) published by Islamists, who formed the most effective ideology of its period, took an important place. Thus, this study deals with detection of the information related to the period of the Prophet Muhammad, and aims to display the correlation of the context of the sira (the life of the Prophet Muhammad) data used by the forerunner writers of the period.As source in this study, the first seven volumes of the journal consisted of 182 issues of which the first issue was published following the declaration of the Second Constitution and the other issues published with the same name until 1912 were analyzed. In the result of the study, I have found that there were 204 articles in which sira data used in analyzed issues. In addition to anonymous articles and quotations, while only four of these articles which belong to 38 different writers were only sira articles, the rest dealt with various matters, especially contemporary political ones. This study shows that the sira data used in these articles were interpreted in order to support the own ideas of writers in their times.In the consideration of the context of the sira data, in general they were mentioned in order to remind history, and to religiously justify political discussions and new institutions of the period because of the actual events. The references to the period of the Prophet Muhammad about the topics of belief, prayer, education, and moral, and also the refutations against the claims of Western writers about Islam and the Prophet Muhammad take a considerable place in the modernist interpretations of writers.Key words: Second Constitutional Era, Sırât-ı Müstakîm Mecmuası (Journal of Straight Path), Sira (the Life of the Prophet Muhammad) Data.
