Papa III. Şenuda döneminde Mısır`da kilise-devlet ve Kıpti-Müslüman ilişkileri

Abstract

Ortadoğu?nun en büyük Hıristiyan topluluklarından biri olan Kıptiler, antik Mısır uygarlığı ile İslam uygarlığı arasında önemli bir kültürel geçiş noktasını oluşturmuştur. Tezin ana konusunu, Kıpti Ortodoks Kilisesinin en dikkat çekici ruhani liderlerinden biri olan Papa III. Şenuda döneminde kilise-devlet ve Kıpti-Müslüman ilişkileri oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın Papa III. Şenuda dönemiyle sınırlandırılmasının sebebi, Papa III. Şenuda?nın kilise-devlet ve Kıpti-Müslüman ilişkilerinde etkili bir politik pozisyona sahip olmasıydı.Mısır?ın son kırk yıllık sosyo-politik yaşamını iki farklı kurum (kilise-devlet) ve grup (Kıpti-Müslüman) üzerinden irdeleyen bu çalışma, tarihsel bir karşılaştırma yapmayı ve Mısır Devrimiyle başlayan yeni süreci anlamada katkı sağlamayı amaçlamaktadır

The Copts, who are one of the largest Christian groups in the Middle East, constituted a substantial cultural transit point between ancient Egyptian and Islamic civilizations.The main topic of the thesis is the relations between church and state and the relations between Copts and Muslims in the tenure of Pope Shenouda III who is one of the most remarkable spiritual leaders of the Coptic Orthodox Church.The reason for limiting the scope of the study with the period of Pope Shenouda III is that Pope Shenouda III had a effective political position on the relations between church and state and the relations between Copts and Muslims The study that examines Egypt's socio-political life of the last forty years through two different institutions (church-state) and groups (Copt-Muslim) aims to draw a historical comparison and contribute to read the new process starting with Egyptian Revolution.Key Words: The Coptic Church, Copts, Muslims, Pope Shenouda III., Egypt
