Kimlik belası: Dikotomik cinsiyet kıskacında eşcinsel ve transların heteroseksüellere bakışı

Abstract

Geçmişten günümüze değin insanlar, toplumsal cinsiyet referansıyla kategorize edilmiş düalist kimlik altında yer edinmek zorunda kalmıştır; 'kadın' veya 'erkek'. İnsanlar, heteronormatif ve sexist idealler çerçevesinde kabul ve onay görmüş 'kadınsı' ve 'erkeksi' davranış kalıpları içerisinde hareket etmek zorunda bırakılmıştır: ya kadın ya erkek; ya kadınsı ya erkeksi; ya dişil ya eril… Tezin asıl konusu, kendini kategorileş(tril)miş herhangi bir cinsiyet sınıfına sığdırmayan, yaşayış ve düşünce özgürlüğünü belli toplumsal normlar ile daraltmayan ve yaşam tarzlarını özgürce yansıtmak isteyen eş cinsellerin ve transların, heteroseksüellere, heteronormatif düzene ve diğer çoğu şeylere olan bakış açılarını yansıtmaktır. Bu konu hakkında, eşcinsel ve translarla derinlemesine görüşme yapılarak eşcinsel ve transların düşüncelerinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca, cinsiyet odaklı söylemleri bulunan bir takım teorilerin, Queer teori perspektifi ile eleştirilmesi, tekrardan değerlendirilmesi ve yorumlanması bu tezin diğer önemli amacıdır. Bu araştırma, Ankara ilinde yaşayan 10 eşcinsel (4 lezbiyen ve 6 gey katılımcı) ve 4 trans katılımcı ile derinlemesine mülakat yapılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ulaşılan sonuçlara göre öncelikli olarak, eşcinsel ve transların, heteroseksüeller ve kutsanmış heteronormatif düzen anlayışları karşısında mağdur oldukları ya da mağdur edildikleri, eşcinsel ve translara saygı ve hoşgörü çerçevesinde yaklaşılmadığı anlaşılmış ve katılımcılardan edinilen bilgilere göre kimliğin kendisinin ve birçok sınırlandırılmış kavramların, trans katılımcılara oranla eşcinsel gey ve lezbiyenler tarafından daha çok eleştiriye tabi tutulduğu bulguları elde edilmiştir.

People have had to take up only two identities categorized by the reference of societal gender from past to present; 'male' and 'female'. Individuals have been forced to act within the framework of accepted and approved 'feminine' and 'masculine' behavior patterns within the framework of hetero-normative and sexist ideals: either female or male; either feminine or masculine. The main focus of the thesis is the perspective, towards the hetero-normative system and many other things, of homosexual and transsexual individuals who do not commit themselves to a socially categorized gender, who do not strict their lifestyle, and way of thinking to societal norms and want to project their lifestyle freely. About this issue, it is aimed to conduct interviews in depth with homosexual and transsexual individuals. In addition, another important aim of this thesis is to criticize, re-evaluate and review some theories which have gender-oriented discourses, with the perspective of Queer theory. This resarch was conducted in depth interview with 10 homosexuals (4 lesbian ans 6 gay participants) and 4 trans participants living in Ankara. According to the results achieved, it is understood that homosexual and transsexual individuals are the victims of heterosexual individuals and the consecrated hetero-normative system, that they are not treated with respect and tolerance. Also, according to the information obtained from the participants, it was findings were obtained, that the identity itself and many limited concepts were more criticized by homosexual individuals -gay and lesbians- compared to transsexual participants.
