Namık Kemal`in mektuplarında sosyal ve siyasi meseleler

Abstract

Bu çalışmada daha çok edebiyatçı kimliğiyle tanınmış Namık Kemal'in hususi mektuplarında döneminin sosyal ve siyasal olaylarına yaklaşımı ele alınmıştır. Şair ve yazarlığının dışında muhalif bir gazeteci, sürgün birbürokrat ve vatansever bir devlet adamı olan Namık Kemal, yirmi bir yıl süren sürgünlüğünde dönemin yegâne haberleşme vasıtası mektuplardan yararlanmıştır. Bu nedenle dönemi içinde en çok mektup kaleme alan yazarımız Namık Kemal'dir. Bu doğrultuda onun kişisel ilişkilerin samimi ortamında ortaya koyduğu çeşitli görüşlerini sayıca fazla olan bu mektuplardan okuyup yorumlama imkânı bulunmaktadır.Çalışmamızda Fevziye Abdullah Tansel'in dört ciltlik Namık Kemal'in Mektupları adlı eserinden yararlanılmıştır. Sosyal ve siyasi konulara ilişkin çıkarılan fişler kendi içinde bölümlere ayrılmıştır. Çalışmamız boyunca`Namık Kemal, mektuplarında dönemin sosyal ve siyasal ortamını nasıl yorumlamıştır?` sorusu sorularak çıkarımlar ve yorumlarda bulunulmuştur.Bazı konularda mektuplar dışındaki kaynaklardan alıntılara yer verilerek çalışmanın içeriği açıklığa kavuşturulmuştur. Çalışmamızda Namık Kemal'in mektuplarında döneminin önemli sosyal ve siyasal gelişmelerine kayıtsız kalmadığı ve bunlar hakkında düşünce ürettiği varsayımıyla hareket edilmiştir.

In this study, in the letters of Namık Kemal, who is known for his literary identity, his approach to social and political events of the period are discussed. Apart from his poetry and writing, Namik Kemal was an objector journalist, an exiled bureaucrat and a patriotic statesman. For this reason, the author who wrote the most letters during his period is Namık Kemal. In this respect, it is possible to read and interpret the various views of his personal relations in the sincere environment of these letters which are more numerous.In this study, Fevziye Abdullah Tansel's four volume Namık Kemal's Letters were used. The vouchers for social and political issues are divided into sections. Throughout our study, inferences and comments were made by asking `How did Namık Kemal interpret the social and political environment of the period in his letters?` The content of the study is clarified by giving excerpts from sources other than letters on some subjects. In our study, it was acted in the letters of Namık Kemal with the assumption that he did not remain indifferent to the important social and political developments of his time and produced ideas about them.
