Design and development of an information system for the top management

Abstract

Information has always been one of the main ingredients of businessprocesses and forms the basis of all decisio'n-making whether in acorporate or personal sense.An effective Management Information System (MIS) determines and providesthe information that management needs to accomplish its goals.Information need will change depending on the level of management.In this study, a MIS is designed for a part of the top management of` TUrkiye ei~e Cam Fabrikalarl A.e.` • First the present situation isanalyzed, and problems are determined. Then some modules which willhelp top managers are suggested and designed~ Finally, suggestionsabout the implementation phase are made.v
