Abstract
IV ABSTRACT A numerical model is developed in order to solve nonlinear coupled type of differential equations. Natural convection phenomenon between two coaxial cylinders is considered as a model problem. The flow is assumed to be incompressible, viscous, steady and laminar. A technique is developed based on Newton's method to solve the nonlinear part of the problem. The linear system arising at each iteration of the Newton's method is solved by using Generalized Minimal Residual method which is one of the Krylov Subspace methods. Incomplete LU factorization procedure is used as a preconditioner. Computing Jacobian matix is not necessary because of the utilized matrix free technique. Matrix vector products are sufficient to solve the linear system By this technique, the storage requirement and computational time can be also reduced.
