Abstract
ÖZET PARAMETRE BAĞIMLI KONTROL KANUNU TASARIMI VE BİR TERS SARKAÇ SİSTEMİNE UYGULANMASI Sunulan tez, E(r)x = A(r) + B(r)u, E(r)y = C(r)x + D(r)u formundaki sistemlerin, doğrusal parameter değişkenli (DPD) kontrol metodu ile kontrol edilmesini amaçlamaktadır. Normal linearizasyon metodu ile doğrusal hale getirilmiş sistem incelenerek, DPD sisteminin bu sistem üzerindeki avantaj ları araştırılır IV ABSTRACT PARAMETER DEPENDENT CONTROL LAW DESIGN WITH APPLICATIONS TO A CART AND INVERTED PENDULUM SYSTEM The thesis presents a general framework for the control of nonlinear systems using techniques developed for linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems. The nonlinear systems considered are of the form of E(r)x = f(x,u), y=h(x,u). The system is transformed into an LPV model in which the parameters are continuous functions of the measured variables and the control inputs. The new system can then be described as an LPV system where the state variables lie in an ellipsoid. While approaching the problem, analysis and synthesis of the system are considered with both full state feedback and dynamic output feedback control methods. In the analysis part of the system, the stability problem is considered with respect to the classical Lyapunov considerations. The conditions leading the system being stable are introduced to the system as linear matrix inequalities (LMI's). In the synthesis part, it is aimed to find a linear finite dimensional controller, whose state-space entries can also depend continuously on 0 such that the closed-loop system is exponentially stable and achieves good performance with respect to variations in 6. However, the region of attraction of the system must be considered as a design criterion. To establish the region of attraction, Lyapunov stability theory and LMI methodologies are applied. It is shown that the region of attraction for a given control law can be systematically derived by LMI-based approaches. All developed methods are then applied on a cart and inverted pendulum system. Generalizations from the results are concluded for both system with LPV control and the system with the classical linearization method.
