Abstract
VI ÖZET ELASTOMERIK PEDLER İLE SİSMİK İZOLASYON Bu tez, binaların periyodunu büyütmek ve deprem etkilerini azaltmak amacıyla kullanılan sismik izolatörleri, uygulamalarını, avantajlarını ve dezavantajlarını incelemektedir. Sismik izolasyonun temel ilkesi, bina ile temel araşma yanal stifnısı düşük elemanlar koyarak, binayı depremin yıkıcı etkilerinden ayırmak ve binaya ankastre temelli durumundaki periyodundan ve deprem hareketinin hakim periyodundan daha büyük bir periyod vermektir. Sismik izolasyonun yararlarını göstermek amacıyla, iki katlı örnek bir binada önce ankastre temelli sonra sismik izolasyonlu bina durumu için eşdeğer deprem metodu analizi ve zaman tanım alanında deprem davranış analizleri yapılmıştır. Zaman tanım alanında deprem davranış analizleri için 1992 Erzincan depremi kullanılmıştır. Sismik izolatörlerin yararlarını göstermek amacıyla, çeşitli şartlar için yanal ötelenme, eğilme momenti, tabam kesme kuvvetleri, bina periyodları ve zemin hakim periyodları elde edilmiştir. ABSTRACT SEISMIC ISOLATION WITH ELASTOMERIC PADS This thesis is focused on the seismic isolators to be used as period lengthening and seismic demand reducing devices in buildings, their applications, advantages and disadvantages. The seismic isolation concept is to install structural elements with low lateral stiflhess between the structure and the foundation, in order to uncouple the building from the damaging action of an earthquake and to give the structure a fundamental period that is much larger than both its fixed-base period and the predominant periods of the ground motion. The static equivalent method analyses and time-history analyses are carried out for a two storey example building firstly, for the fixed-base and secondly, for the seismic- isolated cases. The time-history analyses are carried out by utilising the Erzincan earthquake (1992) records. The displacements, bending moments, base shears, storey drifts, structural periods and predominant periods of the ground have been determined for a variety of conditions in order to illustrate the advantages of the seismic isolation.
