Abstract
Emine Isınsu who was born in 1938 in Kars is the child of a literary family. Her mother, Halide Nusret Zorlutuna is one of the well-known authers, her father is a retired major- generai, Aziz Vecihi Zorlutuna. Junior Emine Igmsu is brought up in the poetical atmosphere her mother brings home; 3he even writes Minko'nun Hatıraları which is suggested as o novel for a child during her primary school years. I Her interest to poem increases during secondary I education, her first poems are published in Eğitim Dergisi. ı She becomes one of the poets of Turkish Literature with her poem book called iki Nokta. The author who is interested in philosophy and I I psychology is educated in the field of English language and I literature. Business Administration, Law and Philosophy for 'i Î short terms. I She tries many literary gengres as stories, anecdotes, essays, theatres, articles, novels axcept poetry; but she accepts herself as a novelist. She is just 21 years old when she has written her first novel Küçük Dünya. In this work, in personal despair; traditions, faults in education and family problems are guest ioned. Bir Yürek Satıldı is her firs play. Socio-cultural368 corruptions in the society are called attention in the play in which psychological analysis has priority. In her play Bir Milyon îgne, she writes about psychological troubles in which people are tropped through harmful ideologies. In her work Ne Mutlu Türküm Diyene, giving national emotions, conscious of history to the students during primary and secondary school years is aimed. In her radio play for children Adsız Kahramanlar, again, similar emotions are tried to be aroused. Azap Toprakları (1969) is a perfect novel based on document and it tells about the Greek oppression in Western Thrace. In her work, Ak Topraklar (1971) she depicts the settling of Turks in Anatolia and, the spreadof Islam in Dede Korkut style. She presents ideological disputes and anarchy between the years 1970-1971 in her wor Sancı (1983). While her work` Tuteak (1975) enlightens political disputes in Turkey and Iraqi Oppression in Kerkük in the form of a family drama, her other work Çiçekler Büyür (1979) is obout the tragedy of Bulgarian Turks. Canbaz, a novel about syndicates is followed by Kaf Dağının Ardında (1988), Atlıkarınca (1990) Cumhuriyet Türküsü (1993). The author who collectsher stories in which personal feelings are emphasized in the book Bir Gece Yıldızlarla (1995).369 Emine Isınsu, who is öne of the best-sellers since 1965 has a lively, fluvent style close to poetry. Talent in using natural dialogues, little describtion psychological analysis and different writing techniques successfully makes her works remarkable.
