Abstract
In this study, which is called The Examination Of Legal Issues In Elementary Socıal Studıes Currıcula Form 1924 To The Present primary school, middle school, and elementary school Social Studies curricula created from 1924 to 2005 has been examined chronologically. Lessons covering legal issues, course hours, units and aims in the curricula have been determined. Since the research topic has a historical process, a descriptive and explanatory method has been used. Thus, the method of the study has been determined as a case study which is one of the qualitative research models. In the study, 1924, 1926, 1930, 1936, 1948, 1962, 1968 dated primary school curricula, 1931-1932, 1938, 1949, 1970-1971 dated middle school curricula 1995 dated Civics curriculum, 1998 dated Social Studies curriculum, 1998 dated Civic and Human Rights Education curriculum, and 2005 dated elementary school Social Studies curricula from the Republic era have been analyzed. As a result of the study, the examination of primary school, middle school, and elementary school Social Studies curricula and curricula of History, Geography and Civics which are in the scope of Social Studies course demonstrates that those curricula have legal issues and concepts. Although distribution of the units and the aims in the curricula composed from 1924 to 2005 has changed, it is observed that the contents have not differed dramatically.
