2005-2017 öğretim programlarında kullanılan 5. sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarının karşılaştırılması: MEB yayınları örneği

Abstract

Bu araştırmada 2005 ve 2017 yılları Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretim Programlarında kullanılan 5.sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler ders kitapları, ders kitabı inceleme kriterlerine göre karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu kriterler; fiziksel (biçimsel), eğitsel (hedefler, bilimsel içerik, öğrenme-öğretme süreci, ölçme değerlendirme), dil ve anlatım, görsel tasarım olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada yöntem olarak doküman incelemesi seçilmiştir. Konu alanı ile ilgili literatür taraması yapılmıştır. Literatür taraması sonucu elde edilen bilgiler ışığında ders kitapları incelenmiştir. Araştırma MEB Yayınları ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucu elde edilen bulgular daha önce yapılan çalışmaların sonuçları ile büyük ölçüde uyuşmaktadır. 2017 yılı Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretim Programı'na göre hazırlanan ders kitabının fiziksel özellikler ve görsel tasarım açısından daha kullanışlı olduğu görülmüştür. 2005 ve 2017 yılları Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretim Programı 5.sınıf ders kitaplarında ise eğitsel ve dil ve anlatım yönünden eksiklikler tespit edilmiştir. Bu eksikliklerin giderilmesi ders kitabının daha verimli bir şekilde kullanılmasını sağlayacaktır.

In this study, the 5th grade Social Studies textbooks used in Social Studies Curriculum in 2005 and 2017 were compared according to the textbook review criteria. These criteria include; physical (formal), educational (goals, scientific content, learning-teaching process, measurement and evaluation), language and expression, visual design. Document analysis was chosen as the method in the research. A literature review on the subject area has been made. In the light of the data obtained from the literature review, the textbooks were examined. The research is limited to the Ministry of National Education.The findings of the study are largely consistent with the results of previous studies. The textbook prepared according to the 2017 Social Studies Curriculum was found to be more useful in terms of physical features and visual design. In the 2005 and 2017 Social Studies Curriculum 5th grade textbooks, deficiencies in terms of educational and language and expression were determined. Elimination of these shortcomings will enable the textbook to be used more efficiently.
