İlkokul ve ortaokullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin öz yeterlilik algıları ile müdürlerinin stratejik liderlik özelliğine sahip olma düzeyleri arasındaki ilişki

Abstract

Bu araştırma, ilkokul ve ortaokullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin öz yeterlilik algıları ile müdürlerinin stratejik liderlik özelliğine sahip olma düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tarama ve ilişkisel tarama modeline dayalı olan bu araştırmanın evrenini, 2019-2020 eğitim öğretim yılında Van ili Çaldıran ve Muradiye ilçelerinde görev yapan ilkokul ve ortaokul öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Okul müdürlerinin stratejik liderlik özelliğini ölçmek için Pisapia'nın geliştirdiği (2007) ve Aydın'ın (2012) Türkçeye uyarladığı `Stratejik Liderlik Ölçeği'' kullanılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin öz yeterlilik algılarını ölçmek için ise Tschannen-Moran Hoy (2001) tarafından geliştirilen ve Çapa, Çakıroğlu ve Sarıkaya (2005) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan ''Öğretmen Özyeterlilik Ölçeği'' kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama araçlarından 318 tanesi değerlendirilmeye alınarak veriler uygun istatistiksel yöntemler ile analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde t-testi, ANOVA ve korelasyon testleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucuna göre ilkokul ve ortaokulda görev yapan öğretmenlerin özyeterlilik algıları genel olarak yüksek düzeyde tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin özyeterlilik algıları; cinsiyet, yaş ve kıdem değişkenleri açısından anlamlı farklılıklar içerirken, eğitim durumu ve okul türü değişkenleri açısından anlamlı bir fark içermemektedir. Öğretmenlerin algılarına göre okul müdürlerinin, stratejik liderlik özelliğine sahip olma düzeyleri yüksek seviyede tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin algıları; cinsiyet ve okul türü değişkenleri açısından anlamlı farklılıklar içerirken, eğitim durumu, yaş ve kıdem değişkenleri açısından anlamlı bir fark içermemektedir. Öğretmenlerin özyeterlilik düzeyleri ile okul müdürlerinin stratejik liderlik özelliğine sahip olma düzeyleri arasında pozitif yönlü ve çok düşük seviyede bir ilişkinin olduğu saptanmıştır.Anahtar sözcükler: stratejik liderlik, öz yeterlilik, ilkokul, ortaokul, müdür

This study was conducted to determine the relationship between the self-efficacy perceptions of primary and secondary school teachers and their principals' level of strategic leadership. The universe of this study, which is based on screening and relational screening model, consists of primary and secondary school teachers working in the districts of Çaldıran and Muradiye in the 2019-2020 academic year. `Strategic Leadership Scale` developed by Pisapia (2007) and adapted to Turkish by Aydın (2012) was used to measure the strategic leadership characteristic of School Principals. `Teacher Self-Efficacy Scale` developed by Tschannen-Moran Hoy (2001) and adapted into Turkish by Çapa, Çakıroğlu and Sarıkaya (2005) was used to measure teachers' self-efficacy perceptions. 318 data collection tools were evaluated and data were analyzed with appropriate statistical methods. T-test, ANOVA and correlation tests were used to analyze the data. According to the results of the research, the self-efficacy perceptions of teachers working in primary and secondary schools were generally found to be high. While self-efficacy perceptions of teachers contains significant differences in terms of gender, age and seniority variables, it does not contain a significant difference with the variables of education level and school type. According to the perceptions of the teachers, the strategic leadership levels of school principals were determined to be high. Teachers' perceptions; While it contains significant differences in terms of gender and school type variables, it does not contain a significant difference with the variables of education level, age and seniority. It has been determined that there is a positive and very low relationship between teachers 'self-efficacy levels and school principals' level of strategic leadership.Keywords: strategic leadership, self-sufficiency, primary school, middle school, principal.
