Abstract
The falling in the ear weight that was determined in the varieties where the blade of the fourth leaf from the top was between 4.26 - 0 %. Prom this application it was observed that the Pobeaa, Kirkpmar-79 and Çakmak-79 varieties were not affected. 12. In the varieties the awns was cut off, the falling of the ear weight was at a 18.30 % ration. 13. The covering of the ear affected the number of grains in the ear between 21.15 - 8.16 %.the fall in the average number of grains in the varieties experimented was around 15.18 %. The maximum decrasse in the number of grains in the earswas found to be with the `Vratsa` variety while the minimum decrease was found to be wi'th the Tunca-79 variety. 14. Vftiile the covering of the blade of the flag leaf caused the falling in the number of grains in the ear to be around 11.20 %, the cutting off of the same photosynthesis organ decreased it at a 9.54 % ratio. 15. The effect of the blaae of the second leaf from the top on the number of grains in the covering process was between 13.93 - 0.71 %, at an average of 6.76 %, in the cutting process was between 11.33 - 1.25 %, at an average of 5.20 %. The effect of the blade of the second leaf on the grain number was important. 16. The falling caused in the number of grains by covering the blade of the third leaf from the top was bet ween 7.01 - 0.67 %. The maximum decrease was observed in the `Vratsa` variety. When the blade of the third leaf from the top was cut off, the decrease in the number of grains was determined to be at 8.59 - 0 % ratio. In this application the maximum falling was in the Ağrı`S`/093-44 variety. 17. When the blaae of the fourth leaf from the top was cut off in the varieties experimented, in comparison to the standard ears, a falling at an average of 1.44-^ ratio in the number of grains has been observed c97 18. Effect of the cutting off of tine awns on the number of grains was between 17.68 - 4.78 %. In this application the average decrease in the number of grains was 11.24 %. 19. The number of small ear3; the decrease in the number of the ears when the ears of the varieties experimented were covered was at an average of 0.58 ratio. This falling was at an average of 1.27 % when the blade of the flag leaf was covered and at an average of 0.01 % when it was cut off. It was calculated to be 1.35 % when the blade of the second leaf from the top was covered and to be 0.71 % when it was cut off. The decrease brought about in the number of small ears by the blade of the third leaf from the. top was 1.81 % in the covering while the same was 1.02 % in the cutting off. ' While the same effect was 0.03 % in the cutting off of the blade of the fourth leaf from the top; in the cutting off of the awns was 2.03 %. The effect of the photosynthesis organs on the number of small ears on the ears was found to be of no importance.96 11.
