Abstract
Despite advances in the medical world, cancer has increased in recent years due to age, gender, genetic and environmental factors and is one of the most important health problems worldwide. Many different methods are used in the treatment of cancer. Hyperthermia method is also used in the treatment of cancer cells and is an effective method. Hyperthermia is used in combination with other cancer treatment methods such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy. In the hyperthermia method used in combination with chemotherapy, the chemotherapy drug sent to the cancerous region of the patient is heated to temperatures between approximately 41°C ˗ 43°C. This method aims to kill cancer cells exposed to high temperatures. After the chemotherapy drug is sent to the cancerous area of the patient by heating it penetrates the cancer cells, the chemotherapy drug is taken from the body at the same temperature and sent back to the cancer area. This process is continued to be recycled. In this study, pure water, which is heated in hot water bath at three different flow rates and 43°C, 44°C, 45°C, 46°C, 48°C, was sent to a hot water bag kept at body temperature environment and in the entrance of the hot water bag, and temperatures were measured and various graphs were drawn.Fluid temperature decreased linearly from the abdominal cavity inlet to the outlet. As fluid flow increased, abdominal cavity inlet, inner, outlet, and body temperature increased linearly. In the experiment where pure water was sent by heating at constant flow rates at 44°C, the inlet, inner and outlet temperature values of the abdominal cavity were found to be the most suitable temperature.
