Abstract
USE OF CAD / CAM SYSTEMS IN DYNAMICS ANALYSIS OF GO-KART VEHICLES SUMMARY Keywords: Go-Kart, Finite Element Method, Vehicle Dynamics, Dynamic Analysis, Vibration and Shock Analysis. Computer Aided Engineering is widely used to analyse engineering problems and to reach optimum solutions with minumum cost. In fact, Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) Methods shorten the time that is spent during analysis and design. İn adition to this, it provides to change rapidly design parameters and provides the control through all stages of the design process. During the design, one of the main problem is the vibration of the structure. Therefore, it is important to consider and to study this problem in detail. In this field, it is very important to note that, determining the natural frequency of the system is the first step to abstain from the resonance which resulting to coincide the frequency of the force with the natural frequency of the structure. In this study, the Vibration and Shock problems of the Go-Kart chassis were studied and analized using CAE Sistems. Analysis were been realized in the conditions of the static and dynamic. The First Section presents background of vehicle dynamics, the types of the chassis used in vehicles and go-kart sport cars and adventages of the computer aided design and manufacturing systems. The Second Section presents static, dynamic and crash mechanics and their formulation. The Third Section presents general view of go-kart chassis modelling. The Fourth section presents dynamic and shock analiysis results, discussion of the results. Finally, the last section presents the outcome conclusions of this study.
