Demokrasinin `yeni` aktörleri: Ekolojik, feminist ve LGBT hareketleri bağlamında sivil toplum örgütleri

Abstract

XXI. yüzyıl siyaset kurumunda önemli ve köklü dönüşümlere neden olmuştur. Bu çalışma siyaset yapmanın `yeni` biçimlerini sivil toplum örgütleri aktörlüğünde tartışmayı hedeflemektedir. Devlet ve sivil toplum karşıtlığı, demokratikleşmenin ön koşulu olarak sivil toplumun güçlenmesi, radikal demokratik pratiğin sivil topluma sunduğu imkânlar çalışmanın hedefini belirlemektedir.Bütün bu ana konular çerçevesinde bu çalışma, İstanbul'da seçilen ekolojik, feminist ve LGBT alanında faaliyet gösteren sivil toplum örgütleriyle gerçekleştirilen, niceliksel ve niteliksel yöntemlerle uygulanmış bir alan araştırmasının verilerine dayanmaktadır. İstanbul, Türkiye'nin sivil toplum alanının şekillendiği ve belirlendiği yer olarak seçilmiş ve üç alanda faaliyet gösteren toplumsal hareketler de araştırma birimi olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışma, sivil toplum örgütlerinin demokratikleşme sürecinde birer aktör olarak işlevleri üzerine odaklanmaktadır.

XX. century has encountered significant changes in politics. This study intends to discuss new forms of `making politics` under the supervision of non-governmental organizations. Contradictions among state and civil society, enhancement of civil society as a pre-requsite of democratization and opportunities provided by radical democratic practices also define other intentions of the study.Along with all these themes, this study depends on the datum gathered from the survey, which is designed on quantitative and qualitative survey methods and have been applied with civil societal organizations in Istanbul working on ecological, feminist and LGBT issues. İstanbul was selected as the research area where civil societal place is shaped and determined and social movements taking part in three areas are determined as research units. This study focuses on functions of civil societal organizations through democratization process.
