Abstract
70 SUMMARY The reaction times (visual, auditory and taktile) of goal-keeper and other position players were compared to find out whether there was a difference among them. 132 male Ss (26 goal-keepers, 14 right wing players, 13 right play makers, 15 centre play makers, 23 left play makers, 21 left wing players, 19 pivot players) (24,20 ± 4.50 years) who were playing in the first division of Turkish Handball league. Newtest 1000 reaction timer was used to test visual and auditory reaction time. TKK reaction measurement stick was used to test tectile reaction time. All test held in normal room conditions between 4-6 p.m. The data gathenred from this research was analezed by multiple ANOVA and pearson product moments and student t test statistics. Results showed statistically significant difference between goal - keeper and the others except right wing players and centre play makers (p >.01). Comparing the different position playing, there was a significant corelations between the goal - keeper and pivot players in all three reaction time parameters (visual, auditory and taktile) (p <.01; p <.05). Moreover,, there was a significant71 corelation among the left play makers, right play maker and left wing player in auditory and usual reaction time (p<0.01 ; p<0.05). Finally, although there was a statistically significant difference between goal-keeper and other position players for tectaile reaction time, there was no significant differens for usual and auditong reaction time. These result shows that goall - keepers tactaile reaction time much better than the others position players.
