Lisans düzeyinde moda tasarımı eğitimi alan öğrencilerin tasarım sürecinde etkilendikleri faktörlere ilişkin görüşleri

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı; lisans düzeyinde moda tasarımı eğitimi alan, öğrencilerin tasarım sürecinde etkilendikleri faktörlere ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemek, özel ve devlet üniversitelerindeki moda tasarımı eğitimi alan öğrencilerin konu ile ilgili görüşleri ve etkilendikleri faktörler konusunda aralarında fark olup olmadığını incelemektir.Bu araştırmada tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Yönteme ilişkin veriler, literatür taraması ve Bilgi toplama formu ile elde edilmiştir. Bu araştırmanın çalışma grubunu; İzmir ilinde bulunan Yüksek Öğretim Kurumlarından İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar ve Tasarım Fakültesi Moda ve Tekstil Tasarımı Bölümü (30) ve İzmir Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Tekstil ve Moda Tasarımı Bölümünde (70) 2012-2013 eğitim-öğretim ilkbahar döneminde moda tasarımı eğitimi alan ve görüşmeyi kabul eden toplam 100 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verilerinin toplanmasında araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen beşli dereceleme ölçekli bilgi toplama formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde, görüşlerin dağılımını yansıtmak için %, f ve aritmetik ortalamaya bakılmıştır. Üç başlık altındaki görüşlerin üniversiteler arasında anlamlı bir farkın olup olmadığının saptanması için t testinden yararlanılmıştır.Araştırma verilerine bakıldığında öğrencilerin lisans düzeyinde moda tasarımı eğitimi alan öğrencilerin moda, sanat ve yaratıcılık kavramlarının bilincinde olduğu gözlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin moda tasarımında sanatın önemli bir işlevi olduğu görüşüne sıcak baktıkları, aynı zamanda yaratıcılığın da aynı durumu desteklediğinin farkında oldukları bulgulanmıştır.İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesi öğrencileri tasarım öncesi hazırlığa daha çok önem verdikleri, buna karşılık İzmir Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Öğrencilerinin ise, sanat akımları ve yaratıcılık konularına daha ilgili oldukları, modacıların tasarım ürünlerindeki sanatsal etkileri gözlemleyebilecek duyarlıkta oldukları gözlenmiştir. Moda tasarımı eğitimi alan öğrencilerin büyük çoğunluğu tasarımlarında kübizm sürrealizm, pop art ve fütürizm gibi 19. yy sonrası sanat akımlarından etkilenmektedirler. Ayrıca özel ve devlet üniversitelerindeki öğrencilerin modayı etkileyen sanatsal faktörlere ilişkin görüşleri arasında yapılan istatistiksel verilere göre İzmir Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi öğrencileri lehine bir fark olduğu görülmesine rağmen her iki üniversite öğrencilerinin de tasarımlarında sanat akımlarından etkilendikleri saptanmıştır.Bu bulgular ışığında lisans düzeyinde moda tasarımı eğitimi alan öğrencilerin, tasarım süreçlerine estetik bir bakış açısıyla yaklaşmalarını sağlayabileceği düşüncesiyle, sanat eğitimine daha çok ağırlık verilmesi önerilmiş ve ileride yapılabilecek bilimsel araştırmalara dair bir takım öneriler de sunulmuştur.Anahtar Kelimeler: tasarım, sanat akımı, yaratıcılık, moda, moda tasarımı eğitimi, moda ve sanat etkileşimi.

The purpose of this study is to determine the views of students who are taking fashion design education on a graduate level, regarding the factors that affect them during design process, and to study if there is any difference between the students' views who are enrolled in state and private universities that are taking fashion design education about this subject and the factors that affect them.In this research, a scanning method was used. The variables related to the method have been compiled with literature scanning and information collection forms. The study group of this research consists of a total of one hundred students who underwent their education in 2012-2013 spring term in fashion design departments (70) of higher education institutions located in Izmir such as Izmir Economy University Fine Arts and Design Faculty, Fashion and Textile Department (30) and Izmir Dokuz Eylül University Fine Arts Faculty, Textile and Fashion Department (70) and who consented to having these interviews. In the collection of these variables, a quinary grading scaled information collection form was used. In the analysis of the variables, to reflect the distribution of views, %, f and arithmetic average was observed. In order to determine if there is any meaningful difference between universities under three headings, t test was used.When looked at the research variables, undergraduate students undergoing their education in fashion design seem to be aware of the concepts of fashion, art and creativity. It has been discovered that students are leaning towards the view that in fashion design, art has an important function and at the same time that they are aware of the fact that creativity also supports this situation. Outside of all these, the views of students who are undergoing fashion design educations on a graduate level regarding the factors which affected them during the design process were studied.It has been observed that the students of Izmir Economy University give more importance to pre-design preparations whereas the students of Izmir Dokuz Eylül University are more interested in the subjects of art movements and creativity and that they have the susceptibility to observe the artistic effects of the fashion designers?s design products. The vast majority of students who are undergoing their education in fashion design are affected by avangard art movements such as cubism, surrealism, pop art and futurism in their designs. Moreover, according to the statisctical data which were compiled from the views of private and state university students on the artistic factors that affect fashion, although a difference in favour of İzmir Dokuz Eylül University students is seen, it has been observed in their designs that both universities's students were affected by art movements.In addition, according to the statistical variables that are collected from private and state university students? views on the effects of avangard art movements on fashion design, it has been noted that there is a meaningul diffrence in favor of Izmir Dokuz Eylül University students, nevertheless in both universities? students, it has been observed that they are affected by avangard art movements in their designs. In the lights of these evidences, with the idea to make the undergraduate students of fashion design approach the design process with an esthetic viewpoint, it is proposed that more weight should be given to art education and some suggestions have been also made in relation to the researches that might be carried in the future.Key Words: design, art movement, creativity, fashion, fashion design education, fashion and art interaction
