Amatör müzik eğitiminin, ortaokul öğrencilerinin problem çözme becerilerine etkisi (Kırıkkale İli örneği)

Abstract

Amatör müzik eğitimi öğrencilerin sadece bir çalgı çaldığı ya da şarkı söylediği bir etkinlik değildir. Öğrenci müzik yoluyla yaşamına yeni değerler ve beceriler katar. Bu açıdan bu çalışma amatör müzik eğitimini salt çalgı çalmak, şarkı söylemek olarak değil, kişisel gelişim için de önemli bir fırsat olduğunu vurgulamak bakımından önemli ve gerekli görülmektedir. Bu araştırmanın evrenini Kırıkkale'deki amatör müzik eğitimi veren devlete bağlı okullar örneklemini ise, Kırıkkale'deki egzersiz müzik dersi açan iki okul ve egzersiz dersi açmamış aynı özelliklerdeki bir okul oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma, 2014-2015 Eğitim-Öğretim yılı ile Kırıkkale'deki egzersiz müzik dersi açan devlet okullarıyla ve Egzersiz müzik dersi açmamış bir okulla ve araştırmaya katılan yüz dört kişiyle sınırlıdır. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilere, Serin, O., Bulut Serin N. ve Saygılı G.'nin `ilköğretim düzeyindeki çocuklar için problem çözme envanteri` ve demografik özelliklerin saptanması için başka bir anket uygulanmıştır.Ortaokul öğrencilerine uygulanan ölçekler elden ulaştırılıp sonuçları da elden toplanmıştır. Öğrencilere uygulanan testlerin sonucunda elde edilen veriler SPSS programı kullanılarak, yüzde frekans analizi, t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) ve tukey testi yapılıp, tablolara yansıtılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen sonuçlara göre, örneklemi oluşturan öğrencilerin % 43'ünün amatör müzik eğitiminin ders başarısına olumlu katkısı görüşünde olduğu, öğrencilerin ders dışında enstrümanına zaman ayırma sıklığı arttıkça, öz denetim ve problem çözme envanteri toplam puanlarını da arttırmakta olduğu, amatör müzik eğitimi almayan ortaokul öğrencilerinin Problem Çözme Envanteri alt boyutu Kaçınma puanı ve Problem Çözme Envanteri toplam puanı, amatör müzik eğitimi alan ortaokul öğrencilerinin Problem Çözme Envanteri alt boyutu Kaçınma puanı ve Problem Çözme Envanteri toplam puanına oranda anlamlı derecede daha yüksek olduğu, görülmüştür

Amateur music education is not solely an activity for students to play an instrument or sing songs. The students integrates new skills to their lives by means of music. This study, therefore, is considered important and necessary in terms of emphasizing the fact that amateur music education does not merely mean playing an instrument or sing songs, but is also an important opportunity for personal development. The population of this study is composed of public schools in Kırıkkale which provide music education. The sample, on the other hand, is composed of two schools in Kırıkkale which opened exercise music course, and two other schools on the same level which did not open exercise music course. The research is limited with public schools in Kırıkkale which opened exercise music course in 2014-2015 Academic Year, one school which did not open exercise music course and 104 people who participated in the research. For those students who participated in the study, `problem solving inventory for primary school level children` by Serin, O., Bulut Serin N. and Saygılı G., and another questionnaire in order to spot the demographic features were applied. The scales which were applied to secondary school students were delivered by hand and the results were collected in the same way. The data which were obtained as a result of the tests applied to students were reflected to tables by means of using SPSS program, percentage frequency analysis, t-test, one-way variance analysis (ANOVA) and Tukey Test. According to the results, 43% of the students which constitutes the population of the study agree that amateur music education has a positive effect on the course success. It was also found that when the student spares time for his instrument except class more frequently, this increases the self-control and problem solving inventory total points. Problem Solving Inventory sub-dimension, Abstinence Point and total point of Problem Solving Inventory of those secondary school students who do not take amateur music education is significantly higher when compared to the Problem Solving Inventory sub-dimension, Abstinence Point and total point of Problem Solving Inventory of those secondary school students who take amateur music education.
