II BAZI AMINO ASİTLERİN GEÇlŞ METALLERİ İLE VERDİKLERİ KOMPLEKSLERİN, SU VE %75 DlOKSAN-SU ORTAMINDAKİ kararlılık sabitlerinin potanslyometrlk metot île İncelenmesi (Yüksek Lisans Tezi) Nurşeıı SARI GAZÎ ÜNİVERSİTESİ FEN BİLİMLERİ ENSTİTÜSÜ Aralık 1990 ÖZ Bu çalışmada, amino asit komplekslerinin biyolojik sistemlerdeki rolünü aydınlatmak ve analitik uygulamala ra katkıda bulunmak amacıyla glisin, alanin, valin, iso- lösin, fenilalanin, triptophan, serin, threonin olmak ü- zere 8 amino asidin, bazı birinci sıra geçiş elementle- riyle verdikleri komplekslerin kararlılıkları, su ve #75 dioksan-su ortamında 25°C'de ve azot atmosferinde ince lenmiştir. Ill THE INVESTIGATION OP THE STABILITY CONSTANTS OP THE COMPLEXES OP SOME AMINO ACIDS WITH THE PIRST ROW TRANSITION METALS IN WATER AND #75 DIOXAN - WATER MEDIA BY POTENTIOMETRIC METHOD (M.Sc. Thesis) Nur şen SARI GAZÎ UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OP SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY December 1990 ABSTRACT In this study the stability constants of the com plexes of eight amino acids namely glycine, alanine, valine, isoleucine, phenylalanine, tryptophan, serine, threonine with some of the first rov; transition metals in #75 dioxan-Water and water media at 25°C in nitrogen atmosphere were investigated in order to enlighten the role of amino acid complexes in biological system and contribute to their use in analytical chemistry. The stability constants in both of these media were deter mined using Calvin-Bjerrum potentiometric method and the formation curves for each complex we're plotted. In addition to this, the ionisation constants for each comp lex in dioxan-water medium were obtained using potorxti- ometric titration method. When one examines the formation curves obtained for amino acid complexes in water and dioxan-water media, one-can easily see that majority of these complexes are of MLp type. Also these complexes were found to be highly stable in both of these media and the order of stability with respect to metal cations followed the sequence given by Irving-Willias. When two solvent systems used in this study was compared with each other, it was observed that majority of amino acids com plexes are 100 times more stable in #75 dioxan-water medium than they were in pure water.
