Abstract
Bazı benzokinon ve naftakinon türevleri, aktif mangan dioksit (MnCb) kullanılarak yeni metotla sentezlendi. Bu metotla, 1,4-metano- l,4,4a,8a-tetrahidronaftalin-5,8-diondan (I) l,4-metano-l,4 dihidronaftalin- 5,8-dion (IV) ve l,4-metano-l,4,4a,9a-tetrahidroantrasen-9,10-diondan (VII) l,4-metano-l,4-dihidroantrasen-9,10-dion (VIII), tek kademede elde edilmiştir. Daha önce bu bileşikler, birden fazla kademede sentezlenmişlerdi. Bu metotla, literatürde böyle bileşiklerin sentezine rastlanmamıştır. (I), 5,8-diasetoksi-l,4-metano-l,4-dihidronaftalin (II), 5,8- dihidroksi-l,4-metano-l,4-dihidronaftalin (III), (IV), 1,4:5,8- dimetano- l,4,4a,5,5a,8,8a,9a-oktahidroantrasen-9,10-dion (V), pentasiklo [6.2.2. 1.02»8.o3.7] undekan-6,9-dion (VI), (VII) ve (VIII) bileşiklerinin elektrokimyasal indirgenme potansiyelleri, diferansiyel puls polarografisi (DPP) ve dönüşümlü voltametri (CV) kullanılarak ölçüldü. Son olarak, (I), (II), (III), (IV), (V), (VII) ve (VIII) bileşiklerinin birinci iyonlaşma enerjileri, kütle spektrometresi kullanılarak elektron bombardıman metoduyla ölçüldü. m THE SYNTHESIS OF SOME BENZOQUINONE AND NAPHTAQUINONE DERIVATIVES USING A NEW METHOD AND DETERMINING THEIR ELECTROCHEMICAL REDUCTION POTENTIALS AND IONIZATION ENERGIES (PH. Thesis) Ali AYDIN GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY October 1994 ABSTRACT Some benzoquinone and naphtaquinone derivatives were synthesised with active manganese dioxide (Mn02) using an entirely new method. Using this method enabled us to obtain l,4-methano-l,4-dihydronaphtalene- 5,8-dione (IV) from l,4-methano-l,4,4a,8a-tetrahydronaphtalene-5,8-dione (I) and l,4-methano-l54-dihydroantracene-9,10-dione (VIII) from 1,4- methano-l,4,4a,9a-tetrahydroantracene-9,10-dione (VII) in a single step. These compounds were used to be synthesised in more than one step previously. There is no study to synthesis these compounds using this method in the literature. The electrochemical reduction potentials of (I), 5,8-diacetoxy-l,4-methano-l,4-dihydronaphtalene (II), 5,8-dihydroxy-l,4- methano-l,4-dihydronaphtalene (III), (IV), l,4:5,8-dimethano-l, 4, 4a, 5, 5 a, 8, 8a, 9a-octahydroantracene-9,10-dione (V), pentacyclo [6.2.2.1.02>8.03,7] undecane-6,9-dione (VI), (VII) and (VIII) compounds were also determined by differential pulse polarography (DPP) and cyclic voltammetry (CV). Finally, the first ionization energies of (I), (II), (III), (IV),(V), (VII) and (VIII) compounds were determined with a mass spectrometer by electron bombardment method.
