Abstract

II IZOPARAMETRIK ALTMANIFOLDLAR VE COXETER GRUPLARI (Yüksek Lisans Tezi) Sebahat YETİM GAZİ ÜNİVERSİTESİ FEN BİLİMLERİ ENSTİTÜSÜ Eylül 1995 OZ Bu tez, üç bölüm halinde düzenlenmiştir. Birinci bölümde; yansımalar, Coxeter grupları ve bunların kök sistemleri tanıtıldı. İkinci bölümde; Öklidyen, küresel, hiperbolik hallerde verilen paralel hiperyüzey aileleri incelendi. Yine aynı bölümde, izoparametrik fonksiyon ve izoparametrik hiperyüzey aileleri açıklandı. Buna ilaveten izoparametrik ve paralel hiperyüzey ailelerinin tanımlarının çakıştığı görüldü. Üçüncü bölümde; bir hiperyüzeyin fokal varyeteleri tanıtıldı. Üç bölümün her biriyle ilgili teoremlerin boşlukları dolduruldu.

In the first chapter, Coxeter groups and their root systems are introduced. In the second chapter, parallel family of hypersurfaces is examined in the Euclidean case, spherical case and hyperbolic case. In the same chapter an isoparametric function and an isoparametric family of hypersurfaces are explained. İn addition to, it is seen that the definitions of isoparametric and parallel family of hypersurfaces are coincide. In the third chapter, the focal varieties for an isoparametric family are introduced. All chapter in the present work we have given detailed proofs of their theorems.
