Bilim Kodu : 626. Sc. Thesis) Necati BAKAR GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SEPTEMBER 1998 ABSTRACT Tanks are the most decisive elements of the battle field. In this study, a prototype system has been designed and manufactured for stopping the engine and warning the driver in case of the lubrication system and blocked air filter failures. This prototype circuit has been tested in various tanks and armoured vehicles engines. In the design stage of the prototype circuit, attention has been paid to get a simple and low cost circuit in addition to using components available in Turkey. The designed system does not require any modification in the engine parts at the connection stage. The system can be easily assembled to engines with a simple construction and it is practical on use and requires low maintenance. Science Code : 626.
