Abstract
Thesis) Nilüfer ŞAHİN GAZİ UNIVERSİTY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY June 1998 ABSTRACT The feeding biology of Esox lucius (L., 1758) was investigated in Mogan Lake. During the period of February 1997-June 1998, 158 E. lucius were caught, the guts of 108 specimens were full. The age of E. luciuses were ranged between 0 and IV, the average condition factor is 0.8326. The stomach contents of E. lucius and their rates were observed to be as follows: Fish pieces (32.4%), Alburnus orontis (23.0%), Gammarus (10.8%), Tinca tinca (9.9%), Odonata (8.9%), Ligula (4.2%), pieces of organisms (2.8%), Cyprinus carpio (1.4%) and Gastropoda (0.9%).
