Abstract

15-19. YÜZYIL ANKARA HANLARINDA İŞLEVSEL DÖNÜŞÜMLER (Yüksek Lisans Tezi) Sevgi Darka GAZİ ÜNİVERSİTESİ FEN BİLİMLERİ ENSTİTÜSÜ Temmuz 2003 ÖZET Anadolu'da Selçuklu ve Osmanlı döneminde yaygın bir kullanım alanı bulan kervansaraylar ve onun şehirdeki uzantısı olan şehir içi hanları düşünsel temelinde (yapılış gayesi, fonksiyonu, işleyişi ) bir değişim olmadığı halde değişen zamanla birlikte, artan nüfus, gelişen ticari faaliyetler.gelişen ve çeşitlenen ulaşım olanakları, ekonomik, sosyal ve kültürel durumun ivme kazanması, dünya görüşünün değişmesi, ve yapıldığı yöreye özgü özellikler dolayısıyla planlamaya getirilen bir takım düzenlemelerle sürekli bir gelişim göstermiş, sonuçta günümüzdeki modern otel yapılarına gelinmiştir. Bu çalışmada Anadolu Selçuklu ve Osmanlı hanlarının dönüşüm serüveni araştırılırken; özelde Ankara hanlarının sosyo-ekonomik ve siyasal yaşantıya göre nasıl bir değişim süreci geçirdiğinin ve toplumsal değişimin aynası ve göstergesi olduğunun altı çizilmeye çalışılacaktır. IN THE FIFTEENTH-NINETEENTH CENTURY FUNCTIONAL TRANSFORMATIONS OF ANKARA KHANS (M.Sc. Thesis) Sevgi DARKA GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTUTE OF SCIENSE AND TECHNOLOGY JULY 2003 ABSTRACT The principles (achievement, function, maintenance) of caravanserai and its section, khans within the city, which had been facilitated in a wide spread fashion in Anatolia in Seljuk and Ottoman period did not change; as the time passes because of population increase, the development of the commercial activities, the improvement of the transportation technologies; the accelarations of the economic, social and cultural activities, the changes in the mainstream thought and be of the unique features of the context in which the khans and caravanserais were built thought the revision made in the design these buildings showed many kinds of changes and evolved into the modern hotel buildings of our times. In this study the transformation of Seljuk and Ottoman khans and caravanserais were being examined in Ankara and it will be shown how khans changed and how they could be an indicator of changing social conditions.
