Abstract
Bu çalışma ile, Nevşehir-Avanos Kentsel Sit Alanı'nda yer alan geleneksel çömlekhanelerin sahip olduğu mimari, çevresel, işlevsel ve anlamsal değerlerin gelecek kuşaklara aktarılması için koruma sorunları tespit edilerek koruma kararları üretilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda hazırlanan tez, giriş ile sonuç ve öneriler bölümleri de dahil olmak üzere on bölümden oluşmuştur.Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde, geleneksel çömlekhane dokusunun koruma neden ve problemleri anlatılarak tez çalışmasının amaç, kapsam ve yönteminden bahsedilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde Avanos'un genel analizi yapılmış, dördüncü bölümde ülkemizde ve Avanos'ta çömlekçiliğin durumuna değinilerek Avanos'ta çömlek yapımı açıklanmıştır. Beşinci, altıncı, yedinci ve sekizinci bölümde Avanos çömlekhanelerinin ayrıntılı analiz ve değerlendirme çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmaların sentezlenmesi ile Avanos Kentsel Sit Alanında yer alan çömlekhanelerin korunmasına yönelik müdahale kararları önerilmiş ve çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlar ile geliştirilmesi gereken hususlar onuncu bölümde sunulmuştur. With this study, traditional pottery houses; located in Nevşehir-Avanos Urban Site, which is called `çömlekhane` in Avanos is analysed, evaluated, preservation problems are established and conservation, rehabilition proposals are developed. In this concern, the thesis consists of ten chapters, including the introduction and the conclusion. In the second chapter, the preservation reasons and problems are explained. In the third, the general charasteristics of Avanos are analysed. In the fourth, the art of pottery-making in Turkey and Avanos is examined. In the fifth, sixth, seventh and the eighth chapters, `çömlekhane`s are analysed in detail and evaluated to set values and problems. With synthesis of these studies, provisions releated to preservation of the Avanos urban site in çömlekhane's region are determined; intervention decisions are included. Results and issues to be developed are presented in the tenth chapter.
