İşlevsel dönüşüm kapsamında Sinop Hapishanesi`nin çocuk ıslahevi özelinde değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu tez çalışmasında Sinop ili merkez ilçesinde yer alan ve ülkemiz tarihinde önemli bir hapishane niteliğine sahip olan Sinop tarihi cezaevi yapı alanında bulunan Sinop Çocuk Islahevi yapısı konu edilmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı, yapının mevcut durumunun belgelenerek ve restorasyon imkanlarının incelenerek gelecek nesillere aktarılabilmesi için uygun işlevin araştırılmasıdır. Çalışma kapsamında, Sinop ili, Sinop Çocuk Islahevi'nin yakın çevresi ve bugünkü durumu incelenmekte, karşılaştırmalı çalışmalar ve tarihi araştırmalar ışığında yapının özgün durumu araştırılmaktadır. Elde edilen sonuçlar değerlendirilip, kriterler belirlenerek bu kriterlerin uygulamaya geçiş safhasında yeni işlev ile birlikte düşünüldüğü bir restorasyon projesi önerilmektedir.

In this thesis, Sinop Reformatory School, located in Sinop central district, Sinop Prison area, one of the most important historical prisons in the country, is selected as a subject. The purpose of the study is to preserve the building by examining its current situation, restoration possibilities and new appropriate fuction in order to keep the building alive for future generations. Within the scope of this study, the province of Sinop, the surroundings of the reformatory school and the original current situation are examined and its original situation of the building is investigated by a comparative study and historical research. As a conclusion, this thesis proposes a restoration project, whose criteria are both based on the research conducted and on the function assigned to the reformatory school.
