Abstract
In this study, magnesium diboride, which is obtained with the boron element, which has a strategic importance for our country, and has a very large-scale usage area, was produced by using classical solid state method with the addition of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 % multi-walled carbon nanotube. The powders mixed with stoichiometric ratio were converted into tablets under certain pressure and baked in argon atmosphere at 650 0C for 1 hour in a closed environment. Structural, electrical and magnetic properties of the samples obtained were analyzed. As a result of the examinations, it has been determined that the characteristic peaks of MgB2 are seen sharply in the samples obtained, that all samples have diamagnetic character, the approach that best explain the microhardness properties of the samples is indentation induced cracking approach, and all samples exhibit indentation size effect behavior. In addition, it has been observed that multi-walled carbon nanotube admixture decreases the critical transition temperature and increases the critical current density, and dielectrically, it has been determined that multi-walled carbon nanotube admixture reduces the capacitance effect on MgB2 and increases its conductivity feature.
