Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesinde organize sanayi bölgeleri: Viranşehir OSB örneği

Abstract

Mekân kelimesinin coğrafya bilimindeki rolünden hareketle, kalkınma, kentleşme ve sanayinin oluşturduğu bağlamı, disiplinler arası bir yaklaşımla irdelemek ve bu çerçevede birtakım çıkarımlar yapmak, bir gereklilik olarak değerlendirilebilir. Beşeri coğrafyanın sanayi coğrafyası alanındaki bu yüksek lisans tez çalışması da; Şanlıurfa ili Viranşehir ilçesi özelinde Organize Sanayi Bölgelerini (OSB) konu edinmektedir. Çalışmada OSB'nin mevcut durumu ile sorunlarını belirleme ve çözüm önerileri sunulması amaçlanmıştır.Alan çalışmasına dayanan bu araştırma, nitel ve nicel araştırma yöntemleri bir arada kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri, anketler, derinlemesine mülakat, gözlemler ve ikincil verilerden faydalanılarak toplanmıştır. Viranşehir OSB'de toplamda 34 işletme bulunmaktadır. Alan çalışması kapsamında söz konusu işletmelerin tamamına, başka bir deyişle tüm evrene ulaşılmış, bu nedenle araştırmanın nicel boyutu için örnekleme yoluna gidilmemiştir. Araştırmanın nitel boyutunda ise toplamda yirmi beş kişi ile derinlemesine mülakatlar yapılmıştır. Anket yapılan işletmelerin gönüllü katılımıyla beyan esaslı istatistikler oluşturulmaya çalışılmıştır.Çalışma süresi boyunca mülakatlar devam ettirilmiş ayrıca işletme sahipleri ile sürekli irtibat kurulmaya çalışılmıştır. Yapılan anket ve mülakatlarla OSB'nin mevcut durumu ve Viranşehir insanın algısında ne ifade ettiği belirlenmeye; ayrık ve öteki bir mekân olarak kentleşme, sanayileşme ve kalkınmadaki rolü ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. OSB'nin yer aldığı Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesinin Türkiye'nin bölgelerarası farklılıklarında nasıl bir profil çizdiği de ayrıca irdelenmiştir.Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre Viranşehir OSB'nin teknik ve fiziki altyapısının eksik, istihdam kapasitesinin düşük, kent ile bağlarının sınırlı olduğu ancak potansiyel olarak gelecek vadettiği anlaşılmıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler :Coğrafya, Kentleşme, Mekân, OSB, Sanayileşme, ViranşehirSayfa Sayısı :167Tez Danışmanı:Prof. Dr. Mehmet Zeydin YILDIZ

Based on the role of space in geography, it is a necessity to examine the context created by development, urbanization and industry with an interdisciplinary approach and make some outcomes within this framework. This master thesis study in the field of humanities and industrial geography is also subject to the Organized Industrial Zones in Şanlıurfa province, Viranşehir district. In this study, we aimed to identify problems and provide solutions about the current situation of Organızed Industrial Zones. Based on field work, this research has been conducted by using qualitative and quantitative research methods together. The data of the research has been received by questionnaires, in-depth interviews, observations and secondary data. Viranşehir Organized Industrial Zones has a total of 34 businesses. Within the scope of the field work, the entire universe has been reached including alla of the related enterprises, so the sampling method has not been used for the quantitative dimension of the study. In the qualitative dimension of the study, in-depth interviews were conducted with twenty-five people in total. We tried to create declaration-based statistics with voluntary participation of surveyed enterprises. During the working period, interviews were maintained and continuous contact with the business owners was attempted. The current situation of the Organızed Industrial Zones and what Viranşehir expressed in human perception has been tried to determine with surveys and interviews. The role of Organızed Industrial Zones as a discrete and other space in the urbanization, industrialization and development has tried to be revealed. The Southeast Anatolia region, where Organızed Industrial Zones is located, has also been examined as to how it draws a profile in Turkey's interregional differences.According to the results of the study, the technical and physical infrastructure of the Viranşehir Organızed Industrial Zones is incomplete. Furthermore, the employment capacity is low, and the linkages bentween the city and Organızed Industrial Zones are limited. Apart from those, the potential future has been understood for Viranşehir Organızed Industrial Zones.
