Abstract
In cello instrument trainings, it is stated that the use of certain techniques or developing techniques depending on the general situation of the student. Especially at the initial levels of cello, the importance of the technique is an important mechanism in one's cognitive processes or psycho-motor skills. In this respect, evaluations are made for the person to undergo a good education process, to use the most appropriate method of the instructor or to include Turkish music in these methods and this is one of the most frequently evaluated elements in the literature. In the scope of the research, the evaluations were made especially on this basis and the level of knowing the techniques or the most preferred works were examined in the direction of Turkish or western music. As a result of the research, the majority of the participants were male. The participants are generally undergraduate graduates. The general age range is between 25 and 40 years. The high schools where they are educated are more general high schools than fine arts high schools. The techniques they use in education processes are generally determined as techniques for western music. Some of the participants stated that the right hand and the left hand were more dominant. However, in the general framework, they emphasized that the left hand is based on a more important functionality in cello playing. Among the techniques used in teaching processes, there are investigations on the level of knowledge. Information on the techniques of maqam, legato, staccato, detache, portato, fouette, martele, colle, spiccato, ricochet, tremolo, sautille, vibrato, grupetto, glissando, flageolet, mordan, abanti, trill and multiplication techniques were learned in the context of the research. Accordingly, in all evaluations, it was determined that there were a lot of people who were important, insignificant or could not form a response. It can be stated that the use of methods in such processes is necessary and sufficient to avoid information and the need to have a wider scope of information.
