Ortaokul öğrencilerinin yazılı metinlerinde ahlaki gerekçelendirmenin Kohlberg ahlak kuramına göre incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokul öğrencilerinin yazılı metinlerindeki ahlaki gerekçelendirmelerini Kohlberg ahlaki gelişim evrelerine göre saptamaktır. Bu amaçla, Kohlberg ahlaki ikilemleri aracılığıyla öğrencilerden yazılı kompozisyonlar almak hedeflenmiştir. Buna göre, Kohlberg ahlaki ikilemleri örnek alınarak 12 ikilem türetilmiş, bu ikilemlerden 4'ü uzman görüşü alınarak belirlenmiştir. Belirlenen bu4 ikilem, resmi araştırma izninden sonra Yenişehir Barbaros Ortaokulu; Yenişehir Dr. Kamil Tarhan Ortaokulu; Yenişehir Bahçelievler İlkokulu ile Akdeniz Mithat Paşa Ortaokulu öğrencilerine uygulanmıştır.313 öğrencinin katıldığı bu araştırmada, iki uygulamayla toplam 570 veri toplanmıştır. Uygulamanın her ikisine katılan öğrenci sayısı 264, veri sayısı ise 528 olarak saptanmıştır. Ancak 10 öğrencinin sunduğu veri, değerlendirme güçlükleri olduğu gerekçesiyle analiz edilememiştir. Bu nedenle Kohlberg ahlaki evrelerine göre uzman görüşleriyle analiz edilen ve sınıflandırılan veri sayısı, 518 olarak belirmiştir.Araştırma sonucu; öğrencilerin Kohlberg ahlaki gelişim evrelerine dağılımı, sınıf, cinsiyet ve yaş değişkenlerine göre yüzde ve frekans olarak belirtilmiştir. Bu bulgulara bağlı olarak tartışma ve yorumlar yapılmış; eğitim ortamları ve toplumsal hayata ilişkin kimi öneriler sunulmuştur.Anahtar Kelimeler: ahlak, Kohlberg ahlaki gelişim evreleri, ahlaki gerekçelendirme.

The purpose of this study is to find out moral argumentation of secondary school students according to Kohlberg's stages of moral development. The research has been conducted on the base of Kohlberg's moral dilemmas and interaction with students has been carried out through written compositions.Twelve dilemmas has been formulated using Kohlberg's dilemmas as a model. Out of these 12 dilemmas, 4 of them have been chosen taking into account the indications of experts on the topics.After having received the official permission to conduct the research, the chosen four dilemmas have been posed to students of: Yenişehir Barbaros secondary school; Yenişehir Dr. Kamil Tarhan secondary school; Yenişehir Bahçelievler primary school and Akdeniz Mithat Paşa secondary school.313 students that have joined this research and a total of 570 data have been collected during the two surveys. However, not every student has joined both surveys. So, the final number of the students considered for this study is 264 and the total number data collected is 528.However, data from 10 students could not be analyzed, as the texts were returned uncompleted. For this reason, the number of categories and data analyzed for the Kohlberg's moral theory has been reduced to 518.Research results: the distribution of the levels of Kohlberg's moral judgement are showed according to class, sex and age (variables) and expressed in percentage and frequency.Based on these results, discussion and comments are reported. Finally, some ideas are proposed to promote the education system and interactions within the society.Key words: morality, Kohlberg's stages of moral development, moral argumentation.
