Karaman`da geleneksel mesleklerin söz varlığı

Abstract

Karaman'da geleneksel mesleklerle meşgul olan kişilerin Türkçeye olumlu nitelikler kazandırdıkları aşikârdır. Bu yönüyle bünyesinde nice zenginlikleri barındıran bu canlı dilin, şehirdeki mesleki hayata zengin bir anlatım olanağı ve anlam dünyası kazandırdığı düşünülmektedir. Türkçe burada pek çok meslek erbabının ve sanatkârın değerlerini ve kimliğini yansıtan özelliğiyle ticari iletişimde de esnafa çeşitli imkânlar sağlamıştır. Karaman halkının kültürel açıdan sahip olduğu bu zenginlik, dil kullanımında kendini fazlasıyla göstermiş, esnaf ve sanatkârlar Türkçeyi mesleklerin içinde âdeta yeniden inşa etmişlerdir.Günümüzde bu kadar canlı ve üretken dil hazinesini barındıran geleneksel meslekler, son ustalarının çabalarıyla varlıklarını devam ettirmeye çalışmaktadır. Ara eleman bulmada yaşanan sıkıntı, teknolojik gelişmelerin geleneksel meslekler üzerindeki olumsuz etkisi, hammadde ve üretim maliyetlerinde yaşanan olumsuzluklar geleneksel meslekleri bitirme noktasına getirmiştir. Yaşanan gelişmeler karşısında bazı meslekler fabrikasyon üretimine geçmek suretiyle geleneksel meslek olma vasfını kaybetmiştir. Bu da Karaman'da faaliyet gösteren geleneksel mesleklerin söz varlığını olumsuz yönde etkilemiş, mesleki dile pek çok Batı kökenli yeni sözcük ve terimlerin girmesine neden olmuştur. Bu çalışmada Karaman merkez ilçesinde geleneksel meslekleri hâlen devam ettiren esnaf ve sanatkârların kullanmış oldukları kelime, terim, deyim, atasözü, kalıp söz, argo ve ikilemelerin neler olduğu araştırılmıştır. Bu kapsamda 54 meslek tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada öncelikle geleneksel meslekleri sürdüren 97 usta ve kaynak kişi ile yüz yüze görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu kişilerle yapılan mülakatlar ve sözlük taramaları sonucunda derlenen 4049 söz varlığı, mesleklerine göre sınıflandırılmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan yöntemler, mülakat ve belgesel taramadır.Bu tez çalışması dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci Bölüm'de; araştırmanın metodolojisi, İkinci Bölüm'de; Karaman hakkında genel bilgiler, Üçüncü Bölüm'de; Karaman'da faaliyet gösteren geleneksel meslekler, Dördüncü Bölüm'de ise Karaman'da faaliyet gösteren geleneksel mesleklerin söz varlığı işlenmiştir. Ekler Bölümü'nde söz varlığı ile ilgili öyküler ve kaynak kişi bilgileri, meslek ustaları ile kullanılan yahut üretilen araç ve malzemelerden fotoğraflar verilmiştir.

It is doubtless that the people who engage in traditional professions in Karaman add positive qualifications toTurkish. In this respect, it is thought that this vibrant language, which contains many riches, provides a rich narrative and meaning world to professional life in the city. Turkish has provided various opportunities to tradesmen also in commercial communication with its characteristics reflecting the values and identity of many professionals and artists here. Richness that people of Karaman have in terms of culture has shown itself in the use of language exceedingly, tradesmen and artisans have almost reconstructed Turkish in the professions.Nowadays,the traditional professions that include so alive and productive language treasure are trying to survive with the efforts of the last masters.Trouble in finding intermediate elements, the negative impact of technological developments on traditional occupations, the negativities of raw materials and production costs have brought the traditional occupations to the point of completion. In the face of the developments, some traditional professions have lost the qualification of being a traditional occupation by adapting themselves to the era through fabrication. This has negatively affected the vocabulary of traditional professions operating in Karaman,made the introduction of many new words and terms ofWestern origin into professional language.In this study, the words, terms, idioms, proverbs, phrases, slang words and reiteratives that have been used by artisans and craftsmen who maintain traditional professions in the central district of Karaman at present have been searched.In this context, 54 occupations were identified. In the study,a face-to-face interview with 97 masters and resource people who continued their traditional occupations has been conducted. The 4049 words compiled as a result of interviews with these people and dictionary scans have been classified according to their professions. The methods used in this study are interview and documentary screening.This thesis consists of four sections.In the First Section;methodology of research, In the Second Section; general information about Karaman, In the Third Section; Traditional professions operating in Karaman, In the Fourth section, the vocabulary of traditional professions operating in Karaman have been studied.In the Annexes section,the stories and information of source person about the vocabulary have been given.In addition, the thesis work has been completed by adding photographs of the professional masters, used and produced materials.
