Pop art akımının mobilya tasarımıyla ilişkisi ve etkisi

Abstract

`'Pop Art Akımının Mobilya Tasarımıyla İlişkisi ve Etkisi'' adlı çalışmanın temel amacı ; Pop Art akımında ön plana çıkan popüler kültürün, tüketici toplum karşısında görsel sanatların, moda ve sinemanın etkilediği birçok alandan `'mobilya tasarımı'' nı ele alarak Pop Art akımının mobilya ile ilişkisini ve etkisini öne çıkan tasarımcıların tasarımlarını ele alarak tasarımlarını `'pop'' bağlamında , 1950'li yıllardan 1970'lerin sonuna kadar geçen süreçteki siyasi, ekonomik, sosyal ve kültürel etkenlerle Pop'un `'ucuz'', `'basit'', özgürlük'', `'değişim'' ve `'tüketim'' gibi kavramlara yer vererek mobilya tasarımı örnekleriyle incelemektir.

The main objective of this thesis named `?Influence and Relationship Between Pop Art and Furniture Design?? is to analyse the ?furniture design? which is one of the many fields that the Pop Art, its popular culture and consumerist society influenced. The method used in this thesis is to present and discuss twenty prominent furniture designers and their degisn related to ?pop? between 1950 to the end of 1970?s with the emphasis on the political, social and cultural factors of the period. The ?cheap?, ?simple?, ?free?, ?changeing?, ?consumptionist? concepts of Pop are also emphasised in the examples of furniture design.
