Abstract

Tarih boyunca birçok farklı kültürün, farklı yöntemler deneyerek, giyinmek için çaba gösterdiğini görürüz. Kıyafet her zaman ve hemen her toplumda önemli bir kavram olarak yerini korumuştur.Bilindiği üzere moda, daha çok modern zamanlara ait bir kavramdır. İnsan hayatını etkileyen geçici yeniliklerin çoğu, Moda olarak algılanır. Ama Moda deyince ilk olarak aklımıza Giyim gelir.Moda illüstrasyonları daha çok tasarımcıların, giyimle ilgili düşüncelerini, fikirlerini estetik bir şekilde kağıt üzerinde göstermelerinden oluşan görsel çalışmalardır. Yüzyıllardır, bu tarz çalışmaların, sadece giyimle ve o döneme ait bilgiler vermenin yanısıra; yapanın artistik yeteneğini, tarzını da yansıttığını görürüz. İnsanoğlu mağara devrinden bu yana, şartlar elverdiğince, kendisini, çevresindekileri resmetmeye çalışmıştır. Tarih boyunca uygarlıklara şöyle bir baktığımızda da; kimi zaman Mısır piramitlerinin duvarlarında, kimi zaman eski Yunan ve eski Roma uygarlıklarının seramiklerinde görüldüğü gibi; fikirlerini, düşüncelerini görsel olarak aktarma düşüncesi her zaman hakim olmuştur.Süreç içersinde, insanoğlunun bu konudaki çabası, zamana göre değişikliğe uğramış ve sonunda da insanlar; kendilerini, kalem kağıtla ifade etmeye başlamışlardır.Giyim konusunda etkili olan, görsel çalışmalar ve moda çizimlerinin, özellikle 17.yy'da boy gösterdiği görülür. 18.yy'da magazin dergilerinin ortaya çıkmasıyla artık bu tarz çalışmalar, modada görsel iletişim aracı olarak kullanılmaya başlar. Fotoğraf makinesinin icadı ve fotoğrafların, moda alanında kullanılmasına kadar, moda ilüstrasyonları bu alandaki iletişimin nerdeyse tek hakimi olur.Bu çalışmada, moda Tasarımı ve illüstrasyonunun birbiriyle olan bağlantılarının önemine değinilecektir. Modern moda kavramının ortaya çıkmasıyla; 19. yüzyılın ikinci yarısından günümüze kadar gelen bu bağlantılar, birçok çalışmaya ilham kaynağı olmuştur. Moda tasarımcıları çoğunlukla, modern sanat akımlarının içinde yer alarak çok farklı tasarımlara imza atmışlardır. 20. Yüzyılın başlarından itibaren, modern sanat akımları ile Moda İllüstrasyonları arasındaki etkileşim oldukça fazladır. Çalışmada modern sanat akımları ile moda ve illüstrasyon arasındaki etkileşimlerde örneklenerek açıklanmıştır.20.yy'ın sonlarına doğru bilgisayarların her alanda kullanımının yaygınlaşması, doğal olarak moda illüstrasyonunu da etkilemiştir. Günümüzde tekstil sektörü ve eğitim kurumlarının çoğunda bilgisayar destekli donanım ve yazılım çözümleri yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. We observe that various cultures have put an effort for their clothes by trying different methods throughout the history. The clothes have always maintained their importance as a significant concept for almost all nations. As is known, the fashion is a subject of modern times. Most of the temporary novelties affecting human life are defined as fashion yet once we hear the word `fashion` we immediately picture the clothes in our minds. As for the fashion illustrations, they are the visual works of the designers who illustrate their fashion related ideas and opinions upon a paper in an aesthetical manner. Actually these kinds of works do not only give us information regarding the clothes and the periods when these clothes were worn, but also reflect the talent and style of their creators. People have tried to picture themselves or the ones around as much as the circumstances allowed since the times when they used to live in caves. As we look at the civilizations in the history we see that the idea of reflecting one's ideas and feelings; either on the walls of the pyramids like the Egyptians did or on the ceramics as the ancient Greeks and Romans did. Throughout the history this effort of the human kind has been adopted according to the age and consequently the people started to express themselves via pen and papers. The illustrative works and fashion drawings regarding the clothes started mainly in the 17th century. As the magazines appeared as of the 18th century, these works stared to be used a visual communication mean. The fashion illustrations dominated the communication in that sector until the invention of cameras and the use of the photographs for the fashion. In this study, the connections between the fashion design and illustrations will be mentioned. Appeared along with the creation of modern fashion concepts as of the second half of the 19thcentury, these connections have inspired various works. Fashion designers have created very different designs as they have always been inspired by several different modern art movements. The interaction between modern art movements and fashion illustrations has escalated since the beginning of the 20th century. In this study, the interactions between the modern art movements and fashion and illustrations have been explained via examples. The fact that the computers became popular in each field towards the end of the 20th century naturally affected the fashion illustrations. The majority of the textile companies and educational institutions are currently equipped with computer aided design systems and various software solutions. In this study, the facts related to the use of modern technology are also emphasized.
