İstanbulAraştırma, ameliyathanede hasta güvenliğine ilişkin ameliyathane hemşiresinin rolünü belirlemek ve gerekli eksikliklere yönelik düzenlemelere veri oluşturarak rehberlik etmesi amacı ile planlandı. Tanımlayıcı tipteki çalışma Ocak ? Nisan 2012 tarihleri arasında İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Ameliyathanelerinde çalışan 80 hemşire ile yapıldı.Veriler literatür doğrultusunda araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen soru formu ile elde edildi. Veri analizinde elde edilen veriler SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 17.0 programı kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Verileri değerlendirilirken tanımlayıcı istatistiksel metotları (Sayı, Yüzde, Ortalama, Standart sapma) kullanıldı. Niceliksel verilerin karşılaştırılmasında iki grup arasındaki farkı Mann Whitney-U testi, ikiden fazla grup durumunda parametrelerin gruplararası karşılaştırmalarında Kruskal Wallis H-Testi kullanıldı.Hemşirelerin % 40'nın 30-39 yaş grubunda, % 58,8'nin önlisans mezunu, % 11,3 Sorumlu hemşire % 88,8'nin diğer hemşirelerden oluştuğu, % 26,3'nün 21 yıl ve üstü mesleki kıdemi bulunmaktadır. % 87,5'nin haftalık 40 saat çalıştığı, % 75'nin sürekli gündüz çalıştığı, % 78,8'nin ameliyathanede çalışmasının kendi isteği olduğu, % 58,8'nin hasta güvenliği ile ilgili bilgisinin olduğu, % 71,3'nün hasta güvenliği ile ilgili eğitimi hemşirelik eğitimi sırasında aldığı görüldü.Araştırmaya katılan ameliyathane hemşirelerinin hasta güvenliğine ilişkin tutum düzeylerinin ortalamaları incelendiğinde; hemşirelerin güvenli cerrahi bilinçleri boyutu ortalaması 3,436 ± 0,576; hasta zararını önlemeye yönelik koruyucu önlemler boyutu ortalaması 3,192 ± 0,721; ameliyathane kalite standartlarını belirleyici faktörler ortalaması 2,919 ± 0,801 olarak bulundu. Buna göre; 30-39 yaş aralığındaki ameliyathane hemşirelerinin hemşirelerin güvenli cerrahi bilinçleri puanı, 20-29 yaş aralığındaki ameliyathane hemşirelerinin hemşirelerin güvenli cerrahi bilinçleri puanından yüksek bulunmuştur.(p=0,019<0,05). 40 ve daha büyük yaştaki ameliyathane hemşirelerinin hasta zararını önlemeye yönelik koruyucu önlemler puanı, 20-29 yaş aralığındaki ameliyathane hemşirelerinin hasta zararını önlemeye yönelik koruyucu önlemler puanından yüksek bulundu. (p=0,021<0,05). Sorumlu ameliyathane hemşirelerinin güvenli cerrahi bilinç puanları (x=3,905), diğer ameliyathane hemşirelerinin güvenli cerrahi bilinç puanlarından (x=3,376) yüksek bulundu. Ameliyathanede kendi isteği ile çalışmayan hemşirelerin, hasta zararını önlemeye yönelik koruyucu önlemler puanları (x=3,549), ameliyathanede kendi isteği ile çalışan hasta zararını önlemeye yönelik koruyucu önlemler puanlarından (x=3,095) yüksek bulundu. Sürekli gündüz çalışan ameliyathane hemşirelerinde, hasta güvenliği uygulamalarına yönelik roller puanı, vardiyalı şekilde çalışan hemşirelere göre yüksek bulundu.Anahtar Kelimeler: Ameliyathane, Hasta Güvenliği, Ameliyathane Hemşiresi

Golden Horn University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of NursingThis research was planned to determine the role of the perioperative nurses regards to patients safety in the operating room accordingly to guide the necessary arrangements considering the insufficiencies in patients safety protocols by providing sufficient data. Between January 2012 and April 2012, eighty nurses were involved in this descriptive study from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. Data was captured using a questionnaire developed by the researcher taking the literature into consideration. The data was analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) program for Windows 17.0. During the analysis descriptive statistical methods (number, percentage, mean, standard deviation) were used. The quantitatively two groups were compared using Mann-Whitney-U test and in the case of more than two groups Kruskal-Wallis H-Test was used.In the analysis, 40% of all the nurses involved in the study were in the 30-39 age group, 58.8% of the nurses were undergraduates, 11.3% of the nurses were nurse-in-charge, 88.8% of the nurses were other nurses, 26.3% of the nurses had seniority of 21 years and above. 87.5% of the nurses were working 40 hours per week, 75% of the nurses were working only during the day time, 78.8% of nurses stated that working in the operating room were their own choice, 58.8% of the nurses had accurate information on patient safety and 71.3% of the nurses gained the information on patient safety during their nursing education.In the study, we analysed the attitudes of perioperative nurses towards patients safety; defined between 0 (do not know at all) and 5 (know very well). The average awareness score on surgical safety procedures was 3.436 ± 0.576, the average awareness score on protective measures to avoid harming patients was 3.192 ± 0.721 and the average knowledge score on quality standarts of operation rooms was 2.919 ± 0.801. According to the analysis, the awareness score on surgical safety procedures were higher in 30-39 age group compared to 20-29 age group (P = 0.019 <0.05). The awareness score on protective measures to avoid harming patients were higher in nurses over 40 year of age compared to nurses below 30 year of age (p = 0.021 <0.05). The average knowledge score on quality standarts of operation rooms was higher in nurses-in-charge (x = 3.905) compared to other nurses (x = 3.376). The awareness score on protective measures to avoid harming patients were lower in nurses who chose to be perioperative nurses (x=3,095) compared to the nurses who did not chose to be perioperative nurses (x=3,549) The nurses who only works during day time scored higher than nurses working in shifts on procedures related to patients safety.Key Words: Operation, Patient Safety, Operating Room Nurse
