dc.description.abstract189 ABSTRACT QUALITATIVE EXTERNAL PRODUCTIVITY IN THE INDUSTRIAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION Dinçal, Nevzat Gruduate Program of Adult Educational Science Field Advisor of Thesis: Prof. Dr. Serap Ayhan February, 2002; 198 pages This syudy has been aimed at to determine and compare employment rate, productivitity and the factors which effect the productivity of graduateds in their field that applying two different educational system inthe industrial vocational education. One of them as a formal education institude is Endüstri Meslek Lisesi(EML)lndustrial Vocational High School in Turkey); The other is as an extended education institude; Türk-Alman Meslek Eğitim Merkezi (TAMEM) (Turk-German Center of Vocational Education in Turkey). In this research, descriptive survey method and model had been used. The universe of the research has contained graduateds from EML and TAMEM in 1994-1999 years period of Electric Departments whom have been working in their field and job, also enterprises employing these graduateds. Determined 193 graduateds employing in their field and 167 enterprises which the graduateds have been worked for these enterprises. Research contained all the universe, for this reason there was no need to apply sampling technigue. In this research, `Mezun Anketi`(Graduateds Quastionnaire) and `İşletme Anketi` (Quastionnaire for Enterprises) had been used as a deviceses collecting data for research. Datum of the questionnaires anallised with SPSS program; EML and TAMEM graduateds compared in the point of view of employment rate, level of productivity and competence in their field and job. The datum anallised applying with Chi Suquare (X2) technigue. Obtained findings at the end of the research pointed out that, in the point of view of competence, productivity and employment rate in their field and job of both graduateds; Educational system of the TAMEM is more effective than Educational system of EML. In this context; independent variables `the period of enterprise education` and the `relation between school and labour market` are found diagnostic variabels as a result.en_US
