Televizyonda 'çocuk birey' inşası: 1990 sonrası televizyon dizilerinde dramatik öğelerle kurulan çocuk söylemi ve çocuk karakterler

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, dram türü televizyon dizilerinde kâr amaçlı politikalarla birlikte kullanılan çocukların duygusal sömürü aracı olarak nasıl kullanıldığını ve bir ürün haline nasıl getirildiğini anlamaya çalışmaktır. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın kavramsal çerçevesini dram türünün televizyon ekranlarına gelinceye kadar geçirdiği evrim ile birlikte çocuk(luk) kavramlarının geçmişten bugüne anlamlandırılma serüveni oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın merkezine aldığı konu ise dram türü televizyon dizilerinde yer alan çocuk karakterlerin `çocuk birey` olarak inşa ediliş biçimidir.Giriş ve sonuç bölümleri hariç üç bölümden oluşan çalışmanın birinci bölümünde; tiyatro sahnelerinden televizyon ekranlarına dram türünün serüveni televizyon dizileri bağlamında irdelenmiş ve çocuk karakterlerin bu dizilerdeki konumları araştırılmıştır. İkinci bölümde çocuk(luk) kavramı tarihsel ve kültürel bağlamda incelenerek çocukların duygular üzerinden anlamlandırılma sorunsalı ve medyanın yerleşik çocuk paradigması ele alınmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde araştırmanın metodolojisi ortaya konulmuş, görüşmelerden elde edilen sonuçlar kategorilendirilerek başlıklar halinde incelenmiştir. Niteliksel içerik analizi ve mülakat yöntemiyle hazırlanan çalışmada toplam 156 dram türü yerli dizi incelenmiş, ana ve yan karakterlerde rol alan 365 çocuk karakter tespit edilmiştir. İncelemeler mülakatlar eşliğinde değerlendirilmiş, dram türü dizilerde 'sorunlu bir çocuk birey' algısının oluşturulduğu ve çocuk karakterlerin duygusal anlamda kullanılarak bir ürün haline getirildiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Televizyon Dizileri, 'Çocuk Birey' İnşası, Duyguların Kullanımı

The main purpose of this study is trying to understand how children, who are the objects of profit-orienting policies in drama-type television series, are used on the subject of emotional exploitation agents and how they are turned into a product. In this context, the conceptual framework of the study is constructed by the adventure of making sense of child (childhood) concepts from past to present with the evolution of the drama type until it comes to television screens. The focus of the study is the way of creating infant characters as `child individuals'' in dramatic television series.With the exception of introduction and conclusion parts, in the first part of the study, which consists of three chapters totally, starting from the theater scenes to the television screens, the adventure of the drama genre has examined in the context of TV series and the positions of the child characters in drama series have questioned. In the second part, the concept of child (childhood) has examined in the historical and cultural context and the problem of interpretation of children by means of emotions and canonic child paradigm of the media have discussed. In the third section, the methodology of the research has presented and the results obtained from the interviews have categorized and analyzed under variable titles. In the study prepared with qualitative content analysis and interview method, totally, 156 drama types of domestic series have examined, and 365 infant characters who takes role as main or sub-characters have identified. The examinations have evaluated in the presence of interviews, and it has concluded that the perception of 'problematic child individual' have created in drama series and how infant characters are turned into a product by consuming them emotionally.Keywords: Television Series, Construction of 'Child Individual', Use of Emotions
