Atatürk Üniversitesi mobil kampüs bilgi sistemi geliştirilmesi ve değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, yükseköğrenim gören öğrencilerin hızlı bir şekilde oryantasyon süreçlerini tamamlamalarına yönelik, üniversite kampüsüne ve bulunduğu şehre dair genel bilgileri içeren mobil uygulamanın geliştirilmesi ve değerlendirilmesidir.Üniversite web sayfalarında bulunan yerleşke haritaları, alanyazın ve uzman kişilerin görüşleri dikkate alınarak mobil uygulamada yer alması gereken konumlar, bilgiler ve sorular seçilmiştir. Uygulama, mobil platformunun market payı lideri Android işletim sistemine yönelik geliştirilmiş, geliştirme ortamı olaraksa Android Studio kullanılmıştır. Yazılım geliştirme süreç modeli olarak artımlı model, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden ise eylem araştırması deseni kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların belirlenmesinde ölçüt örneklem tekniği kullanılmıştır. Veriler 14 katılımcıdan yapılandırılmış görüşme veri toplama aracı kullanarak yazılı şekilde alınmıştır. Toplanan veriler içerik analizi tekniğiyle analiz edilmiş ve değerlendirilmiştir. Katılımcı görüşleri uzman kişi eşliğinde online ortamda tema ve kodlara ayrılmıştır.Alanyazında oryantasyonun gerekliliğini gösteren çalışmalar vardır. Bu çalışmada alanyazını destekler nitelikte sonuçlar alınmıştır. Geliştirilen mobil kampüs bilgi sistemi uygulaması katılımcılar tarafından çalışmanın amacına uygun bulunmuştur. Bunun yanında diğer üniversitelerde de olması gereken bir uygulama olarak görüş belirten kullanıcılar da olmuştur.

The aim of this study is to develop and evaluate a mobile application that contains general information about the university campus and the city in which higher education students complete their orientation process quickly.The locations, information and questions that should be included in the mobile application were selected by taking into account the campus maps on the university web pages, the literature and the opinions of experts. The application was developed for the Android operating system, the market share leader of the mobile platform, and Android Studio was used as the development environment. Incremental model was used as software development lifecycle model, and action research design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The criterion sampling technique was used to determine the participants. Data were obtained in written form from 14 participants using a structured interview data collection tool. The collected data were analyzed and evaluated by content analysis technique. Participant opinions were divided into themes and codes in the online environment accompanied by an expert.There are studies in the literature showing the necessity of orientation. In this study, results were obtained that support the literature. The developed mobile campus information system application was found suitable for the purpose of the study by the participants. In addition, there were users who expressed their opinions as an application that should be in other universities.
