Tevhitçi bir Hristiyan olarak Michael Servetus ve Hristiyanlık anlayışı

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Üniteryanizm'in kurucusu kabul edilen Michael Servetus'un Hristiyanlık anlayışı özellikle teslis bağlamında ele alınmıştır. Yedi ayrı bölümden oluşan tezimizin ilk bölümünde Servetus öncesi Hristiyanlık tarihindeki teslis tartışmalarına kısaca göz atılmış, Batı'da Hristiyanlığın genel durumu ve reformasyon süreci hakkında özet malumat verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde Servetus'un hayatı ve eserleri üzerine detaylı bilgiler verilmiştir. Bu sayede Michael Servetus'un teolojisi ve teslis hakkındaki düşüncelerinin daha sağlıklı bir biçimde anlaşılması planlanmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde Servetus'un Tanrı ve Evren hakkındaki görüşlerinin bir değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın temel problemlerinin ele alındığı yer dördüncü bölümdür. Bu bölümde Michael Servetus'un teslis ile ilgili görüşleri detaylı bir şekilde tahlil edilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda Servetus'un teslis düşüncesi ile geleneksel teslis doktrini arasındaki benzeyen ve ayrışan yönler saptanarak günümüz Hristiyan düşüncesi perspektifinden Servetus'un hangi kulvarda konumlandığı betimlenmiştir. Beşinci bölümde Servetus'un iman ve amel konusunda ne düşündüğü ve Hristiyanlığa hangi yenilikleri sunduğu ele alınmış, altıncı bölümde kıyamet ve ölüm sonrasına ilişkin görüşleri incelenmiş ve yedinci bölümde ise dinî düşüncelerini şekillendirirken etkilendiği veyahut faydalandığı kaynakların bir değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Servetus'un düşüncelerine yönelik her bir başlık onun kendi eserlerinden elde edilen veriler ışığında kaleme alınmıştır. Çalışmanın sonuç bölümünde ise ele aldığımız başlıkların genel bir değerlendirmesi yapılmış ve sınanan hipotezlerle ilgili çıkarımlar ortaya konmuştur.

This study primarily discusses the understanding of Christianity by Michael Servetus, accepted as the founder of Unitarianism, in the context of the Trinity. It consists of seven chapters. The first chapter briefly examines the discussions on Trinity in the history of Christianity before Servetus and gives brief information about the general situation of Christianity in the West and the Reformation process. The second part provides detailed information about Servetus's life and works. Thereby, it was planned to understand Michael Servetus's theology and his thoughts on the Trinity in a better way. The third chapter evaluates Servetus' views on God and the Universe. The main problems of the research are discussed in the fourth section, which analyzes Michael Servetus' views on the Trinity in particular. Accordingly, after noting the similarities and divergences between Servetus's idea of the Trinity and traditional trinity doctrine, it determines the position of Servetus from the perspective of today's Christian thought. The fifth chapter discusses what Servetus thought about faith and deeds and what innovations he presented to Christianity. The sixth chapter deals with his views on the apocalypse and after death. The seventh chapter evaluates the sources from which he was influenced or benefited while shaping his religious thoughts. Each title on Servetus' thoughts has been written in light of the data obtained from his works. The conclusion of the thesis generally evaluates the titles we have discussed and reveals inferences about the tested hypotheses.
