Barışa karşı savaş, savaşa karşı sanat bağlamında sanatsal üretimler (Fransız ihtilalinden günümüze)

Abstract

Sanat tarihi boyunca birçok sanatçı, savaşlar karşısında tepkisini en iyi bildiği şekliyle, yani sanat dili ile dile getirmiş ve böylece kendisini bir anlamda rehabilite etmeye ya da fikirlerini aktarmaya çalışmıştır. Bu sanatsal üretimler, aynı zamanda içinde bulunduğu toplumun yaşadığı travmaların birer yansıması olarak tarihi birer belge niteliğinde çeşitli kaynaklarda yer edinmiştir. Böylece bir çok anlamda bilgi verici özelliğe sahip olması özelliği ile de oldukça önem kazanmıştır. Söz konusu çalışmada sanatçıların yaşanan savaşlar karşısındaki tepkileri incelenmiş ve sonrasında bu tepkilerini eserleri aracılığıyla nasıl dile getirdikleri araştırılmıştır. Modernleşmenin ilk adımı sayılan Fransız ihtilali ile başlayıp günümüze dek yaşanan savaşlar ve isyanlar konu dahilinde incelenmiş ve bu süreçlerde sanatçıların savaş sürecine etkileri ve izlenimleri araştırmanın temel konusunu oluşturmuştur. Birinci bölümde savaş kavramından bahsedilmiş ikinci bölümde de Fransız ihtilalinden günümüze gerçekleşen savaşlar ve ressamların rolleri ile ortaya koyduğu eserler incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde Modernizmden günümüze Türk dünyasındaki savaşlar ve Türk ressamların savaş sürecindeki rolleri araştırılmış son bölümde de Çağdaş sanatta savaş konulu resimler irdelenmiştir.

Artists are important personalities that actively play a role in every aspect of life. Throughout the history of art, many artists have expressed their reaction to the wars in the way they know best, in the language of art, and tried to rehabilitate themselves in a way or to convey their ideas. They have been the leading figures who have shaped the society and been respected by them. These artistic productions have appeared a reflection of the traumas experienced by the society and taken place in various sources as historical documents. Thus, it has gained importance with its feature of giving information in many sense. This study focuses on the reactions of the artists against the wars and how they expressed these reactions through their works. The wars and rebellions that started with the French Revolution, which is generally regarded as the first step of modernization, have been examined and the effects and impressions of the artists on the war process form the main subject of the study. In the first chapter, the concept of war is mentioned. In the second chapter, the wars and paintings from the French Revolution to the present have been examined. In the third chapter, the wars in the Turkish world and the roles of Turkish painters in the war period have been researched and in the last chapter, the pictures on the theme of war in contemporary art have been analyzed.
